Rama, Seeta and Lakshmana meet Atri Rishi and Anasuya Devi, get their blessings, kill demon Viradha, visit the ashramas of Sharabhanga and Suteekshna, and reach Dandakaranya where the sages all come to beg for protection from the rakshasas.
