In a profound discourse on the text Dhanyāṣṭakam, Pujya Swamiji delves into the meaning of the first verse:
Verse:
तज्ज्ञानं प्रशमकरं यदिन्द्रियाणां
तज्ज्ञेयं यदुपनिषत्सु निश्चितार्थम् ।
ते धन्या भुवि परमार्थनिश्चितेहाः
शेषास्तु भ्रमनिलये परिभ्रमन्तः ॥ १॥

o Why does the mind experience disturbances?
o What causes incessant mental chatter, and how can it be stilled?
5. Silence of the Mind:
o Why does the mind naturally become silent as we gain deeper knowledge of the Self?
o How does self-awareness bring inner tranquillity?
6. Chattering of the Mind:
o What perpetuates the restless chatter of the mind?
o Why is peace considered the direct evidence of understanding reality?
7. Definition of Upanishad:
o What is the comprehensive definition of the Upanishads as given by Ādi Śaṅkarācārya?
8. Conviction in Knowledge:
o What transformation occurs in one who is fully convinced of this knowledge?
o How does such a person’s life reflect inner stability and peace?
