you guys do realize that in some schools, juniors can also go to prom, so what happened was that the mean girl went to prom with the popular dude in junior year, and then its homecoming that matters once the summer is over and theyre back at school for senior year like, my school did not have separate junior and senior proms. it was all one thing. it happens a lot, especially in smaller schools
@scripwriter33042 жыл бұрын
prom is not always seniors only and its an admittedly dumb as fuck pet peeve of mine to have but like its such a small thing that i see a lot of people get completely wrong and it bugs me
@scripwriter33042 жыл бұрын
the further i get into this video the more you keep reiterating that the writers must have forgotten that junior prom is separate from senior prom except that it ISNT always. in some schools they will be the same event, with absolutely no separation. its not NEARLY as rare as y'all are making it out to be
@scripwriter33042 жыл бұрын
and even if it were rare, then how would that change what they said in the video? they went to prom together. if they know that theyre all juniors, then why would they feel the need to specify that they're going to junior prom? its so clunky and unnecessary. like, sure. the video is bad and horrible and i agree with everything else you've said about it. but like. y'all clearly are entirely ignorant to the fact that not every school has the same setup for prom, and/or are just...ignoring the fact if it IS separate, there's still no reason for a group of juniors to clarify when talking to each other *which* prom theyre going to, because they'd all know anyways based on their current grade level

I could be assuming incorrectly but if your friend was in elementary school it's possible she needed to lose all her baby teeth before they would put on braces (no point putting braces on teeth that are gonna fall out). Not that it couldn't still be a rough experience, but I got a baby tooth removed and it is much easier than an adult tooth imo lol.
@vogelvrouw2 жыл бұрын
@Lisa yeah its so sad, when I got my braces it was mostly because of my overbite and that could affect my breathing and chewing, and when I got the normal braces they didn't make me keep them untill my teeth were perfect, just untill they were good enough.. they even had a saying at their door about how crookednes is human
@ashikjaman1940 Жыл бұрын
I have an overbite that really fucks with my autism at times and I don't know why I was never recommended braces lol
@26349 Жыл бұрын
They often pull out wisdom teeth when there is no place for other teeth to be well aligned. Your friend probably had baby teeth pulled out though, probably because regular teeth had already started growing underneath them but the baby ones had been still intact. nothing wrong about that. To username”Lisa”: straightening teeth hurts at first but only for a first couple of months, then you get used to it. I had invisalign on for two years, as an adult. it all went smooth and was the best decision of my life. I had an underbite left untreated from my childhood cause my parents were neglectful and healthcare in my home country was and still is nonexistent. Also had crowding issues which if not fixed by invis or braces would have resulted in those teeth just falling out on their own, without any support from other teeth, and then if no crowns would have been placed in their place, other teeth would start falling out as well. Thankfully invis fixed everything and no crowns were needed as I maintained all of my teeth. All those issues I had were also causing jaw pain, headaches and teeth grinding. After your bite is corrected and teeth are aligned well, nothing hurts anymore idk where you got it from. If it hurts then it signifies there are jaw nerves issues and you need to see a professional surgeon who specializes in jaw surgery bc ur pain might be not connected to ur teeth whatsoever(there sometimes are cases where people’s jaws developed incorrectly and no matter how hard you try to fix the bite with braces or invis it won’t properly work. Jaw surgery is then done and it fixes all the issues, including pain etc)

As a Canadian (specifically Albertan) who went to French immersion catholic school, I can guarantee you that frenglish is thing. Since most of us came from English speaking households we tended to mix a lot English in with our French. Scottish here. I do not understand the whole asking someone to go to prom with you. Can you not just go on your own? Is there something wrong with that? Also, as a glasses wearer, I hate that stereotype of when a character deemed "not pretty" is getting a makeover one of the parts of the make over is their glasses are removed. That is such a crappy thing and what kind of message does that send to say, girls who are growing up wearing glasses? "It sends a message of "Sorry girls, you can't be pretty because you wear glasses..." That is honestly so crappy. To any other glasses wearers reading this comment, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!

Honestly tho, glasses can be hella cute. You just need the right frames

Andy's energy is so chaotic, I love it. He moves so much you can't even have him overlaid in the skinning in grilling segment because he's bouncing around so much. Bring him back on!

The acting in these is reminiscent of the kids in my 7th grade Theater class who didn't actually choose the elective.

Well, to be fair referring to someone as a "plain Jane" has historically been an insult so yes, it is used in a derogatory manner.

I like how the optometrist is wearing safety glasses, not real glasses

I went to prom with my friends and it was fun. Even though I had a lot of people in my grade, we kinda all vibed together lol And I know what you’re talking about with the Percy Jackson movie and I thought the same thing about that guy looking like Adam Sandler lol

That actually sounds super fun! Honestly, probably more fun than taking a date in a lot of ways. I think a ton of people end up putting waaaaayyyyy too much value/significance on prom and it ends up kinda ruining it a little. I suppose teenagers kinda do that about everything though... it all seemed *SO* important at the time 😂

@@idontwantahandlethough I never cared about dates, most guys were so full of themselves. I just wanted to have a fancy food, fancy dress, and dance with people I liked lol I loved my prom dress and getting ready. I accidentally ate butter that I thought was white chocolate because it was like in little rose shapes 😂 I wore 6 inch $100+ heels (and I was already at 5’8 without them) for 5 minutes and took them off when I danced. A lot of good memories. But even the popular guys I hated were nice to me. We were all just vibing.

Don't feel alone, Andy. I never went to any of my high school dances either. I did go to all my Jr. High school dances as part of a group, though.

this was definitley written in a eastern european country, and they paid various american actors to send in videos of their lines infront of green screens, and then just edited it together

my hs prom was for juniors or seniors.sophomores could go as well if they had an upperclassman date, but there was an unspoken rule that sophomore girls couldn’t wear long dresses ( so as not to outshine the upperclassmen ig)
