Not necessarily. There’s no federal law that limits the number of days in a row an employer can ask an employee to work, but some states have their own limits. Also, Emily’s boss technically didn’t FORCE her to work every day for over a year. He just kept dangling that VP position in her face to get her to keep working.

Sadly this is the situation alot of parents find themselves in. Parents shouldnt be threatened of getting fired for trying to balance work and family. Also I don't like how parents assume that just because someone doesnt have a husband and kids they dont need time off to have a life. But It's actually the childless employees who are getting the short end of the stick when it comes to flexitime work life balance, time off etc. They deserve time off too.Great video Dhar.
@dominicwithREALITYtse2 жыл бұрын
@Sarah Humphreys I know for a fact that a lot of individuals up in mgmt tend to unethically cross the line like this boss character did. Not only did he threaten to fire his employee but he also had no respect for her family's convenience and well being. He even crossed the line IMO when he called her on her vacation day. I say that because legally if it was her regular day off and he called her that's OK, however, to call her on the day her vacation commences is harassment. Mgmt is not suppose to call their employees on their vacation because I repeat its harassment and it is an unethical move that violates company policies within the code of conduct.

There’s nothing worse than to have a parent that is never around because he/she is always putting work over you. The girl probably would have been happier if she had just lived with her dad. Thanks so much for teaching us that there should always be a balance between work and life, because think about it, if you always stick to work 24/7, then you will never have any real quality time to have with your family, it would be like being held captive, almost, so the moral of the story is essentially a work-life balance. Everything should always be balanced, so as a result, too much of anything is never good. You and all of your talented actors should keep it up with the amazing acting, and as we (your audience) always tell you, thank you guys for telling stories and changing lives, I cannot thank you guys enough, much appreciation to you guys, max respect, keep pushing to help people with their lives, us included, peace to all of you, God bless.

Work is important but it's important to spend valuable time with your family. You can't take back time which you will live to reqret. Remember, children remember the time you spend with them and that is what they carried through there adulthood. Thank you Dhar for your inspirational video and you are changing people's life. I love this lesson it teaches you to love and spend time with the people around you and not to choose work over your child or friends it makes them feel like nothing and that sometimes leads to a depressed child or friend of course though that doesn't mean you can't go after your dreams and work hard!!! so remember "we're not just telling stories we're changing lives" thank you Dhar Mann for the inspirational stories looking forward to seeing more fantastic videos great acting btw Love y'all

My mom never regretted it, She prioritized her work and missed all my birthdays and bad days from school. It make me distance myself from her and she always made it to anything my sister needed it make me feel even worse when she sang happy birthday for her but only got to sing one to me when I was 17 and no longer wanted to celebrate
@carolinebergin46339 ай бұрын
I’m so sorry, I know what you mean though my big brother always chooses work over family and everyone even his own fiancee. He almost never talks to me, is never there when I need him, he just calls Mom when he needs something for work, and he never shows up for anything anymore. He never even tells us when he goes on business trips. I thought I wanted to be like him but I was wrong. Everyone has a choice and he made morally bad ones to put work above and loved ones below

Ngl this is one of Dhar Mann's actually good videos honestly- Because some or even a lot of parents, due to having to provide for their family have to work all the time and that can sometimes end with them neglecting their child. Which can kind of cause trauma for some kids because it's kind of like growing up with only 1 parent either only with a mom or a dad. Or even at worse, you growing up with no parents because they are busy. Which again. Can actually cause trauma for some kids because they don't have their parental guardians with them to teach them, feed them, help them and protect them. Which does sadden me.
