There are two quotes that sum up this story: "Forgiveness is not an occasional act; it is a constant attitude." -Martin Luther King Jr. "Unless commitment is made, there are only promises and hopes... but no plans." -Peter Dicker Jackson was trying to make fulfillments to his daughter, but he didn't commit to those promises. But, now after Sky and her father came to reconciliation, and she forgave her father, Jackson was able to keep his promises, and have a harmonious life with his daughter.

A little story time before I watch the video. My dad has always had an alcohol problem. When I was younger my mother and i had to pack up our things and run away from my father when I was only 6. We lived with my grandmother for a little, then she got another boyfriend, in which we moved in with and lived with for about a year. Then we moved back with my grandma. My mom would take me to the dollar tree to meet up with my dad, but the last time we did that, we wasn’t sober like he said that he was, and my parents yelled and screamed at each other in the car with me in the back seat. That was the last time we ever did that. Recently he got help, and I can now see him and go to his house whenever I please. But even though it’s over, it still hurts me every day to think about it. I have recently been showing signs of Tourette’s, ADHD, and autism and going soon to get them diagnosed, Your past does not reflect your future.

Unless you were born yesterday…everyone has their past, both good and bad. It’s very true that there are two days in life that you can’t do anything about: yesterday and tomorrow. Yesterday already happened so there’s no point in wishing you can change something about yesterday now…Tomorrow isn’t here yet so yes, prepare yourself for tomorrow but don’t stress too much and don’t act like the future is already set in stone…things can change and you really don’t know what can happen. Yes, past has an influence on who you are today, but it doesn’t have to define you or just because things were one way doesn’t mean it has to be the same. You can certainly change the future and remember that things will be the same as it was today if you don’t decide to do something different in a positive direction. Thank you for an amazing video! ❤
