I agree with the fact that money and materialistic possessions shouldn't be your top priority, but just because you wish to spend more time with your partner doesn't mean you should settle for being a janitor, although there's nothing wrong with it, career should also be a priority to each and everyone be it a man or a woman, if you're capable of doing something better, you should probably do it. Sitting at home all day because you wish to spend time with your partner sounds a bit ridiculous considering work life balance is possible

I guess but the guy said that he was happy with his job and he wanted to spend more time with his partner. In the end you have to do what makes you happy, not anyone else. As long as you aren't harming anyone then it's fine. The guy didn't seem like he was looking to further his career. Although if you want to further your career then good 👍 for you then.

A husband or a boyfriend does not need to spend money on you (the women) just to prove that he loves you. There's a difference between wanting a husband and being a husband. Having a husband means that you only want a husband to spend money on you, and being a husband means that you don't care how much he has; all it matters is that he loves and appreciates you. If you don't want your husband to cheat on you, love him unconditionally, appreciate him, love him for who he is; not for what he has, trust him and be there for moral support.
