This is one of the best ska song ever written. That lead guitar riff is so fucking good. Goddamn.

Ever since the 90s I had a crush on the 2 lead singers. Oh man they are soo hot!

Same perception here! I really liked it when bands had two female lead singers: that was so rad! The honeyed harmonies of these ultra-cute chicks was the stuff of 90's Alterna-pop legend!

CLASSIC. I remember seeing this band ALL over California. Love their vocals and they were all such nice people.
@kevsabeaver12 жыл бұрын
I saw them at Glasgow QM Union supporting NOFX in '98 and the singers were being heavily sexually harrassed by a guy near the front. They ripped the piss out him for a bit then when he got out of hand a crazy punk steward at the venue crowd surfed over to the guy and hooked him twice. Fucking brilliant.

damn i love this band. Back in the 90s during the third wave of punk/ska there was tons, i mean tons of new bands to listen to. these guys were super unique sounding and quite talented. I saw them live when i was in HS..like 1995 or thereabouts damn the 90s was an awesome time to grow up.. if you guys like females vocals liek this, check out a band called Mealticket from the 90s too. awesome.
@ericray6875 жыл бұрын

There is a video on KZbin where Tim Armstrong go to a room upstairs and interviews DHC. He talks about how he started and left DHC. I can't find it but I have seen it.

I like this. I get the ska connections (not british ska 70s) it sounds like a modernize post WWII sound. Andrew Sisters mixed with Madness or No Doubt. I hate having to 6 degree into finding the names or comparison. I'm Getting old. One of the few good things google is good for.

Ya dude there's a huge amount of bands like this. Its called 3rd wave ska. The biggest would probably be No Doubt, Gwen Stefani's old band (I think they recently got back together) another is Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake, Streetlight Manifesto, Goldfinger, The Forces of Evil, Five Iron Frenzy, Rancid, Suburban Legends, and Sublime of course.

@@EBinCA - Fun fact: Todd D. from the Crazy 8s and I have worked together in a completely different field for several years. In fact, he was my Project Manager a while back. Even though I've listened to Ska since my High School and College days in the late 80s/90s, when we first met at our workplace much later, I had no idea how much of a local "legend" he was here in the Pacific Northwest, but we hit it off when it came to talking about music in general. I managed to catch their reunion concert streamed on FB, which was pretty cool to see, even if I couldn't attend in person.

Tim and Matt formed DHC after leaving OI, but pretty much bailed on it straight away, so wouldn't exactly say there is much influence from OI here. I think the only member here, that was in the band when Tim and Matt were, is the drummer.
