This record was played in 1972 by Kaudha twins band it's competitor was Harusi ya mk of D o Misiani Shirati. The same year though the Kaudha was leading. In ukambani when people came to a dance party missing those two records the owner of the dance were left alone.

I retired from Public Service recently and these numbers are rejuvenating me to my days when I was joining Secondary School in the 70s. Nyang Omaki, Hundhwe, Kundi II, etc are my favourite now.

I am not a Luo and so do not understand a single word in Jane Ochieng. But I danced this song several years ago with my age mates (all from Central Province, Kenya) and, boy, did we like it! One of the best songs of our time. For those of you who were there, I am sure you will recall a Kikuyu song no doubt copied from Jane Ochieng. Well done. Well done.
