Dhondutai Kulkarni Raga Chhayanat

Vidushi Dhondutai Kulkarni (1927-2014) was a musician’s musician. Her singing reflected characteristics of the Jaipur Atrauli Gharana in their purest form. Her Gurus included stalwarts such as Ut Bhurji Khan, Vidushi Laxmibai Jadhav and Vidushi Kesarbai Kerkar. She dedicated most of her life to teaching and keeping the traditions of her Gharana alive.

Lovely. I first heard this on AIR Raagam a few months back, at something like 2 am local time. It was so hauntingly beautiful. Do they even make Chhayanat like this anymore!
