I dont think it is affected by the attack and defense level as even on balanced my cdm drops to the back line when i put deep line on him even at kickoff. And same with putting defensive on any fullback or rmf. They just do that role even without changing the attack ans defense levels.

Try this, you turn on attacking level 2, your defense player just your center back, but If you choose anchor man dmf will not going attacking. And if you choose counter target at defensive level, the player will not going down and stay at attacking position

@@DhonniGame first if you put counter target on a player he won't go down in any level. 2nd If I am understanding it correctly you're saying that if I got 2bar defensive CDM won't be pushing if we give him defensive that is true I can't say anything about that as that's very obvious thing.
