I belongs to SC but when I was preparing for competitive exam I was depressed when I saw some of my close frinds(higher castes) didn't qualify cut off even having high marks but SC students able to qualify at some marks which was comparatively less. I also against of it ,there shouldn't be a long gap amongst the cut off marks of SC ,ST and general. But When I got a good govt job,I was posted in rural areas.I had to stay there nearby but when I searched the houses for rent ,they first asked me about my caste,I told them truth because I never felt discrimination on the basis of caste , as I was grown up and studied in cities.Dude they denied me straightly ,that was not one ,two or three houses denied just bcz I belongs to SC,they didn't allow me to stay.That day I realized how casteism is deep rooted in India,Why there is a reservation system in India,,even getting a group B job doesn't give you respect if you belongs to HARIJAN ,just think If Reservation would be withdrawn ,what will be our conditions.These upper caste people will treat us like we r coming from hell(not all).Reservation should b present till the discrimination against lower castes is completely eradicated from society.
