I do have to correct you on a point. You do not get weaker by diablerizing a weaker Generation vampire. So if a 7th generation vampire diablerizes an 8th generation vampire, he will still be a 7th generation vampire. Good video besides that, though!

I remember in the lore the Cappadocian founder wanted to Diablorize God. Which was strange from a storytelling perspective, but my theory is when Caine was around and after the third generation diabolized the second. There were probably more than thirteen Antidelluvians, and the ones that didn't survive, probably suffered from Caines wrath where some of them wanted to usurp Caine and diabolize him as well but failed. So when Cappodocious dedicated himself to finding ways to consume God. I can only speculate that he wanted to kill Caine and take the seat as the new dark father.

As for the Cappadocian, he was most powerful wizard of the dead, when he was embraced he lost part of his soul in the underworld due of many ghost hated him and drag that part of his soul with him, when he become a vampire he become obsessed with mastery over, that’s why he is so fragile and weak and moreover careless ,, however., he still had his book the fragment, which in turn May and WILL make you truly powerful beyond Caine dare I say equal to all and powerful - arch mage = God,, that’s the goal of his faithless son and mastermind behind the obliterated of Giovanni power, Lazarus. To understand the book and use it. But since the dead language is hard to translate, and magic is extreme powerful and complicate to handle, he simply buy his time.

i noticed a pretty big oversight in the explanation segment. diablery is a specific choice- you can drain another vampire dry and force them into torpor without diablerizing. this is supported by the fact that if your vampire is in frenzy and drains/kills another vampire, they will never diablerize them.

that frenzy vampires dont diablerize might be duo to them beeing the same generation or lower or just 1 higher,what would happen if a frenzy vampire kills a high enuf generation that it wil become stronger then its consider a diablerisation. usualy a frenzied vampire can only kill an equal vampire and that is pointless for power gain.

I played vampire for a long time back in the 90s and early 2000s I actually still have my copy of laws of the night. And my special edition vampire dictionary.

if I were a Thinblood then yeah, diablerie all the way; I'd want that full vampire status. In Bloodlines 2, this was the plan for the player character, btw... you would start off as a Thinblood, then at some point in the story you become 1 of the "real" clans most likely via sanctioned diablerie.... the clans would want certain kindred to be "dealt with" harshly one way or another.

I will say one thing, as far as I'm aware you can't really up your generation through Diablerie, only lower it. Many elders actually gain a flaw that forces them to diablerize weaker vampires to keep going known as the Methuselahs Thirst, and this has never really made them less powerful. V5 might have changed some of the diablerie lore though so I don't know 100%

V5 did not change the rule. I have seen people get confused because of blood potency, thinking they'll move up a generation. You can't move up a generation, but you can move up in your blood potency. Your starting and max blood potency is tied to your generation now.

Awesome video!!! Keep going with VtM!! One note though, a lower generation diablerizing a higher generation, will not raise their generation. Some Ancient Methuselah have a flaw where they must drink cainite vitae. It only applies to lowering one's generation. And if a 9th generation diablerized a 4th, they wouldn't be 4th, it would definitely go down at least a few, possibly making them 7th or 6th generation. But you are correct in that Ancients generally can and will possess the body. I don't recommend going after a 4th or 5th gen lol, you'd better pray it doesn't wake up or, more than likely, already know you're there...

Fun fact:In theory with some magic you could take out your own heart and keep it somewhere safe. So if someone tries to diabarise you, they couldn't do it. However if someone finds it he can basically eat the heart and you get big debbufs.

@@____________838 The vampire soul is positioned directly in the heart. This is the reason why vampires get paralyzed if they get hit by the stake. But yeah if there is no heart you can't resally diablarise someone since his soul isn't in the body.

As a lifetime vampire enthusiast, I’ll be the first to say that your channel has been a godsend (ironic). I’ve wanted this kind of content for forever, and i don’t think I’ve come across anyone that does it better than you. If you haven’t made plans to cover it already, I HIGHLY recommend you talk about the vampires/vampire derivatives from Darren Shan’s “Cirque du Freak” series. There’s a movie rendition of one of the books, but to really get into the vampire lore, I suggest researching the books, as they’re much better and are quite a bit different than the film. It’s a very grounded take on vampires, but is still a supernatural take in nature. The abilities, cultures, history etc. is unlike any setting I’ve experienced before and I think if you’re not already familiar with the setting, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by it.

The sanctions and rules in regards of diablerization are the best proof of the true corruption from the elders and the fledgling possers circling their rotten corpses; It is "illegal" to, say, raise your personal power by canniballizing a 600 years old Ventrue who doesn't even know what a toothbrush is... but feeding him, say, fifty neonates per week so grandpa doesn't throw a tantrum and keeps giving you your allowance is A-OK. I guess that, at the very end of it all, the Brujah are right: What's different between be rotting away below a cathedral and being blown away by the warm winds of a sunrise? The judgement from God. And I say: Lets them have it.

The "depiction of diablerie" is actually a picture of a bloodline called the Nagaraja, and in the newest edition they are a part of the Hecate I believe. They're an ancient eastern line who need to eat flesh as well as drink blood, and are a main part of the Tal'Mahe'Ra. Addendum: Besides his demigod level of power, there's another issue of why I can't see Caine falling to the Amaranth. Part of the curses leveled upon him by God and the angels was how anyone who tries to harm him will have that harm also done to them seven times over. It's a major part of the Gehenna scenario involving Lilith with her unknown, before then, Bahari Antideluvians where she wants to kill Caine. Because any way you attempt to harm him will also be done to you, times seven.

It only goes into 1 of them. The one that gets it could turn around and embrace a random mortal to let his friend eat though. It's sort of implied that's what Giovanni did after diablerizing his sire and destroying most of the Cappadocian clan. A generational leap of 9th to 4th is almost certain to end with the vampire being eaten taking over the new body though unless they were incredibly high willed and strong of soul

No you can't become lord or lady by what Established titles propose. There are 3 ways to officially become lord in UK: 1 Be born as one 2 Marry lord or lady 3 Be given title by current monarch What Established title will give you is a piece of paper with no legal power and contract of leasing a land from some landowner. If to become lord all what is needed is a small piece of land, than every man that owns garden, house or is a farmer already has noble title.

I have a question though .,.. Cain was the most powerful, a true immortal with a weakness to sun, so as his direct descendants the 2nd gen should theoretically be far stronger than the 3rd gen, as 2nd gen had cains direct blood in them. So how were they killed off. I think somehow one of the 2nd gen must have killed the other 2 and made a deal with devil/god/angels/lilith to hide/take away/repent so cain could not find him. Hence, he thought the 3rd gen killed them off and cursed them. This way gods favourite children were safe and he maintained all authority. Similarly lilith could have wanted revenge and did it as well or maybe the devil wanted him to suffer.

Drinking a vampires' blood is a way to learn their special disciplines, but the vampire has to teach it willingly. Often it means a small bond and a boon (a favor) as payment. Over the course of unlife older vampires would have accumulated lots of disciplines, making them truly nutritious treats for younger licks. Also, this is why the Tremere are hated in game and by players (in a fun way). Tzimisce and Nosferatu were used as bases for the gargoyles, basically gargoyles are deformed and twisted vampires. The tremere do very evil things to keep their power and usefulness, because if they stopped being useful, they would be killed to extinction. They're completely zealous over Thaumaturgy (blood magic) for this reason.
