Thanks for putting up all these videos. It kind of lets us older diablo 2 players get some of the joy of finding drops vicariously through you without having to deal with d2's terrible and outdated (now) interface. Don't get me wrong...i loooved the game and I still have fond memories of it, I just don't really wanna play it again if you know what I mean. 3:45 Best weapon base on merc is always the slowest possible, not fastest possible. My brother and I have tested this conclusively. Huge differences in base weapon speed confer no difference to merc attack speed, however they do take advantage of speed bonuses from magic attributes.

As soon as I found Natures Peace on her it was great but was still dying sometimes with my merc getting kills in and them getting exploded. As soon as I unequipped his weapon though I was smashing him with zero chance of dying. Did runs in under a minute..

Nihl for exp level 95+ and above in Baal runs is good exp. MASSIVE difference at 98. If I recall (from like 8 years ago) Nihl ALONE gives 3 times the exp of all the Baal waves combined at level 98 - which was 24K. (I can't remember if that was exp shrine or not)

Another great video. And yes I also think that one key pr 7½ runs is a bit low. I remember them dropping a bit more frequently. Now that you have all these cube-able grand charms, where do you get the gems? Do you have some tips for farming gems, I don't find enough in solo play for all the cubing I wish to do :D ?

+kajcsapapa Play the game enough time and you'll learn every item and what their perfect stats are. Many of the players that still play D2 have been playing it since launch or are returning players who have come back due to nostalgia.

Oh they increased the high rune drop rate? Makes sense. It was ridiculously low. I'm sure all the ones i traded for were duped. (don't ask don't tell) I played 5 hours a day for 6 years i still could not have made 1 damn enigma from my high rune drops. I never got a single JAH.

Brings back the memories. This is all i ran towards the end. D keys were worth so much in hardcore. I stopped doing ubers all the profit was in the D key. The other two were trash people botted them. The thing is though: if you're running him for the keys it doesn't stop other nice things from dropping too :) He has good drops. I think you can see why i didn't run him with magic find in hardcore. 90% of the value of the runs was not from the magic find. JAH rune and the D keys were all the real value. Can't say for sure that the Tal rasha armor wouldn't have dropped anyways. He dropped me a Stormshield and i didn't have any MF. Plus MF sucks. IF you use MF you're a MFer. But noobs are impressed by vendor trash unique items. So running magic find is entertaining :)

Can I kill Nihlathak without losing the red portal to Pindle? From what I've read online, there's some different opinions on this. Some say it doesn't matter after killing Nihalathak as that will always give you the waypoint which I've never heard about before. Is it safe to farm Nihalathak on singleplayer, and not risk losing the red portal? @Dbrunski125

String of Ears is a GG belt often overlooked; me prefer it over dungos for some melee builds

It is a must-have in PvP melee builds. If you're doing a damage reduction build, String of Ears is BiS and vital to reaching DR% cap if you are not wearing 1.08 Vampire Gaze. Unless there's a DR% runeword I don't know about.

When you activate the halls of pain waypoint you lose the red pindle portal. You can kill nilly unlimited times as long as you dont activate that portal. Unfortunately isnt anything you can do no tho :(

If you want to Holy Grail Diablo 2 solo legitimately, you better be prepared to sacrifice AT LEAST an entire year of your life. No joke. The drop rates in Diablo 2 fucking suck, and they weren't designed for solo play. The drop rates were STRICTLY designed for an online trading economy with MILLIONS of active players, which was the biggest mistake the Dev's ever made, since that is what eventually destroyed online play completely due to a MASSIVE amount of botters and dupers that flooded the game.

is it single or bn? single is quite good, you can roll nice map and keep going. on real though it is hugh task. beside the pit and chaos with dia, my favourite, let's say staple mf run is eldrich, shenk and pindle which is very fast. although there is limited drop i found a lot of goodies here. and as for as mobs surrounding shenk i got some high runes as well. i would appreciate if you include that in your do-it list too. :-) thx for video!

I never use superior armors for Runewords. It really makes a negligible difference for the pain in the ass it is to keep the runes around to repair it, or the millions of gold.

Dbrunski125 I will admit that it is fun to find such things though. On a Paladin or Barbarian such defense might help in a duel, but against monsters it’s not worth it. Don’t get me started on superior weapon bases, such as a Superior Berserker Axe with a Beast Runeword.
