Diablo 2 Act 1 - Sisters' Burial Grounds - Blood Raven

This is the story and lore behind Diablo 2's "Sisters' Burial Grounds", what the townspeople had to say about it and the quest itself. I've done this for all of the original Diablo quests and plan to do it for all of the Diablo 2 quests.
The game is set to 8 players. I'd also like to add that I really hate when Blood Raven has ice arrows.

A better place is a bit of a confusing statement considering we dont know what really happens when a soul is sent to "the unformed land" Though to be honest, how do we know that demonic forces dont still have her soul as well as the warriors and Sorcerers? After all, they still have leoric's after all these years.

@@SephirothXValentine Awesome comment. I have a question. I tried playing d2 when i was around 13 or somewhere around that age. But never really enjoyed the game. But couple of days ago decided to give it another try and cant get off of it. Its so damn good. I just killed blood raven and proceeded to my next quest. But ive found out that blood raven isnt really defeated. Everytime i go the burial grounds she is still there alive and kicking. Why? Didnt I kill her.?

@@miraxell Simple. Every time you restart the game she respawns. She is a minor boss, but every boss you kill is like that if I remember correctly. If you leave the game and come back every monster respawns, even the act bosses, I.e. diablo. So you can quite literally farm them if you were so inclined.

Blood Raven = Diablo 1's corrupted Rogue. The Summoner = Diablo 1's corrupted Sorcerer. The Wanderer = Diablo 1's corrupted Warrior

@RobbyThePsycho if by soulstone you mean a big crystal on mount arreat, it isnt a soulstone but instead a world stone that corrupted by baal.

@RobbytThePsycho To summarize everything i can say on the subject. Diablo will always strive to have a backup plan. In Diablo 1 it was using Albrecht to lure in a worthy host, and used said host to impregnate adria, for a second backup plan because he is not so vain as to think he could not fail as it has been made readily apparent that he and the demons fail on a constant basis during the war with heaven. SO whether or not he was destroyed in Diablo 2 or not it didn't matter, the soulstone was destroyed therefore his soul was sent to the abyss, but he and his brothers left their essence on Sanctuary, which is all that is needed to bring them back. Adria is now dead, as is his current host and his essence as of D3 is most assuredly free since we killed Malthael and no longer have a black soulstone. And Adria is no longer there, so it is possible his essence actually returned to hell this time instead of staying on sanctuary. So as of this moment there is no current way to imprison him permanently against his will ,or at all as far as we know. He may *eventually* reform in hell or some other way in D4 but only time will tell. As far as we know, everything so far has gone according to his plans or backup plans, though i do not believe he planned to fail in D3 after becoming *the* Prime Evil, effectively turning him into a lesser form of Tathamet.

if u want to know, the story behind this quest, read about Polish spouse Elzbieta Batory to king Batory, she was bathing in virgin blood, later she drank it. She was convicted and cemented beneath ground in castle (to die there ofc ) she was convicted of killing as many as 650 virgins. There were rumours that where spouse went, there were virgin bodies left behind, and many girl were not found after her leave :) :)

@MrSonicSlave Close. When I fraps Diablo 2, for whatever reason, the game records considerably darker than I actually play it in. So I end up having to brighten the video in windows movie maker. This is the closest approximation I have to how I play it, but the brightening process obscures some of the game's lighting effects and detail.

It's hard to melee her when she has frost arrows (sometimes she doesn't). And it takes too long to kill her on 8 players while a ton of zombies are also surrounding you.

yes,all three class from D1 are corrupted in diablo 2 the warrior has been possessed by diablo the rogue has been corrupted by andariel the wizard has been possessed by Horazon(the summoner) the people in diablo seem to always end up bad like warriv,in diablo 3,his corpse can be found with a lore that says how things turned up bad when the diablo 2 hero left

Defeating blood Raven and her undead army was no easy task. When I played this game, I played the role of a necromancer and started to create an army of skeletons to defeat Blood Raven and her army of the undead. Was it easy? No. But I managed well.

the warrior's family name was quite soiled already his father: King leoric driven mad his Mother:got decapitated by lazarus in front of King leoric his little brother(prince albrecht);got possessed by diablo and got killed by his own brother him being possessed by diablo and getting killed too and now his daughter is chased after by demons and probably a suitable host for diablo if leah becomes diablo's host,that would be 3 of his family to be diablo hosts

aparently if you ress her (with the "Reanimate Target As: Blood Raven") and she times out or dies, she kills every undead in a radius od one screen around her!! i noticed cuz my merc has a bow that has 1% chance to res her, and she died when i was doing an experiment (looking if the hungry dead can be ressed but an unraveler)
