I recently got into playing pluggy was a big D2 newbie. Watching all these guides trying to see what I can do to optimize my runs/mfing and I just realized that I probably have to godliest LK map you can get. I got it on my 3rd roll or so too. Been extraordinarily lucky 4 Ohms and 1 Sur within less than a 1000 runs - probably about 500. Also found tyraels might :) All that within less than a week in - thanks for the videos - truly bringing a lot of joy and fantastic content that motivates ppl to get (back) into the game and "study" it a bit more too!

Thanks a bunch for this video. I have been playing on and off for nearly 20 years (before LOD expansion). Just started doing these runs on p7 a couple of days ago and already have Mal, 2 gul, vex, Lo, and sur. My map is godly, but I dont use a sorc. I have necro with 40 faster run walk. Run time about 1 min. Use pindle to raise skelly and just run it.

After about an hour of rolling for a decent LK map I got something amazing. Two campfires 1 Campfire is 1 Teleport. The other Campfire is 3 Teleports away. The 1st Campfire top right super chest is a Teleport away from the 2nd top left Campfire. About 16 Teleports per run.

Your lk videos inspired me to spend some time doing them. I have done several hundred runs, was it worth it for me? YES. I found a sur, a gul, vex, ist, mal, um, lots of lems, and a few good set and unique items. I didn't know two campfires can spawn, first thing I will load some new maps until I find a double. I consider myself a pro d2 player. I play hc only, I've played for many years but I honestly have never been the type of player that pays mind to extreme detail, like looking for the perfect hell difficulty map or paying attention to specific stats or rolls, or basing my play time on efficiency ..im the kind of player that just plays if that makes sense. This time around I have stood firm in my personal goal to NOT cheat, it IS single player after all. Last year when I came back to d2 I ended up duping items, runes, copy and pasting game files to cheat. Using atma for much of it. But no more, and it's much better because I got bored quick last time around with cheat runes I made duping via atma. Now my items, atma-banked runes, and runewords are legit! It felt good to beat hell on hardcore legit, i did a lot of mf for the gear needed to do so every milestone i got to. I did normal mephy runs at first, then normal baal runs for gear to start nightmare (vipermagi !!) , then nm mephy where i found my occulus, ready to start hell! Then i spent a long while doing hell andy , countess, and mephy where i found some of my end game gear like shako until i was ready to finish hell.

I WATCH ADS FOR DBRUNSKI!!! Ive never seen the actual rune patterns before so that is new information for me. No wonder Sur runes drop the most. I use my pally to run LK and i run the docks with vigor. I dont just search for runes, i pick up all charms, druid helms, rings and ammys. LK might be decent on BNET if you do them during baal runs. P8 count. you wont get realm down and you can get the last few waves and baal for XP. Another great video dude

Pro tip, if you are running Plugy, get a loot filter, it really makes it easier to spot those runes as it filters out a lot of the useless items dropping from the chests. Dbrunski has a video about loot filters as well so go ahead 😁

Great info! I'm about 100 runs in! It's fun so far, I have an armor rack that consistently drops pally shields, I've gotten a couple decent high res ones, but mostly 8 res all. Another drops a shako like a quarter of the time, so I got like 300 mf to try and drop Harley! I'd re-roll if it weren't for that one shako rack, but it's a decent map so I'll stick it out for a few days I think.

04:35 - he makes a mistake here which can confuse you: He says "to skip running the entire LOWER Kurast Dock" When in fact he means "to skip running the entire KURAST DOCKS", i.e. the town.

Amazing video. By the way, if you`re farming LK on a sorc, use telekinesis to open chests from the middle of the huts and to activate wps, it`s even faster.

Do u think higher MF increases the chance to get the loot pattern where only rare items drop? I find it to be worthless when only rares drops from the chest, since it cant contain any charms. Not sure if it can still contain any runes, but so far i havent gotten any runes when it only drops rares Edit: Charms do drop aswell when rare (yellow) items drop. It just seems to be super super rare. After about 1k runs total, I got my first charm when rares dropped lol

My question maybe stupid, but: If I enter LK on p1, clear area and then set p7, will chest patterns be set to p7 as well? I'm asking because enemies are not instantly boosted by p8 and I don't remember higher rune being dropped from chests than Pul. And I'm something above noob seeing how much do you know about D2.

My advice for LK on bnet: open EVERYTHING there in full games, not just the super chests. There is probably like 100 containers in the whole area.

just type /players x with x=1 to 8, know that this works in pairs for drop rate, so players 1 and players 2 will be the same, 3 and 4 are the same, 5 and 6 are the same, and 7 and 8 are the same

I watched the video, but perhaps I just missed it: Why can you not just save and exit after opening the final chest in LK? That would respawn you at the Act 3 docks, right, then you could just waypoint back to LK? Why do you have to take the WP to Act 4 before saving/exiting? Edit: found my answer at 4:35

I rolled a very lucky map of LK with 2 campfires and for some reason one of the armor stands keep dropping me a sacred targe almost every second run. Why is that? Is it map dependent or my character level (86) ?

Been doing this using 2 computers and no plugy mod. Both computers use the same diablo install and play in single player mode. I use the "other multiplayer" "TCP / IP" options to mule. 1 computer hosts the mule game the other is the main account. I imagine I could 1/2 and half those roles on the 2 computers. 1 odd upside is the maps are all the same between mule sessions. So after run 1 of the maps, the paths to bosses are pre-mapped in the next sessions. "have to stick to the same mode though". The down side is of course, no use of ladder rune words, the improved stash, and other ladder play perks like bigger bosses. [paragraph below isn't about the "same map between games" mentioned above] Been reluctant to do the plugy gaming. Haven't seen any video posted by it's players extolling "safe files" for use. So I assume it's the risk of using the plugy mods. Certainly I've seen video's on get this here, install it like this. But haven't noted any of the videos saying. "I found safe files here", "I've never had an issue here", or similar quotes to the files being pointed at. Even better still would be a consensus by plugy players on where to get safe files. Any tips of that nature would be welcome from the host.

What version is this based on? And can MF adversely effect drops? I understand probability don't guarantee drop rates, but I've done 600 runs and the highest rune I've come across is Lum. (1.14d, 146%MF). Video was crazy helpful to see though!

I think a quick note about cheap 200 FCR sorc gear would help. Arachnid mesh can be hard to find, but you can get to 200 fcr with a crafted caster belt. Here's a sample set up. Weapon: Wizard Spike(so much res) / Suicide Branch; 50 FCR Gloves: Magefist / Trangs Gloves; 20 FCR Armor: Skin of the Vipermagi; 30 FCR Helm: 20 FCR circlet Rings: 10 fcr each That's 140 FCR base. Then, with good enough rolls, you can get 60 more with a combination of Spirit Shield, crafted caster amulet and caster belt. Boots are whatever. I like Aldur's boots because the fire res compliments the resistances of spirit nicely, the 40% FRW is a marginal speed boost for farming, and extra life is good because dying will really slow down the farming. Oh, and it is possible to get 200 FCR without spirit, but then Arachnid mesh is necessary. Just in case anyone is playing vanilla single player.

In solo mode, you can change the map by changing difficulty. The game reroll all the maps after you changed difficulty. So just make a game in hell, if it's not what you want go in nightmare or normal and come back in hell to see if the map is better.

I guess it's only worth farming it in Hell level? except for the charms of course there's a high charm drop there too i just got to lower kurast in Nightmare and i'm gonna see if i can find some more charms with resistances on them i already dropped about 2 grand charms, 1 large charm and 1 small charm the first time going there :P

A couple of questions, why is two campfires as must? Is it a must becuse of time saving or is it a must to get the runes? Second question, why do you go to the pandemonium fortress in act 4 after each run instead of save and exit?

2 camp fires means 6 super chests vs 3 super chests with one camp fire. Over the course of say 1000 runs that 6000 checks vs 3000. Helps improve your odds a lot. Additionally, going to act 4 saves you from running the entire Kurast dock every time you make a new game. Again saving you lots of time over the course of many many runs. Hope that helps explain

But u still have to teleport to the waypoint, go back and then exit game, start new. Have u measured and compared time to run from docks by exit directly after opening the last chest? I have 30% faster run/walk and i think just exiting right after is faster, but hey i could be wrong :). Great video anyway! But damn, getting low runes all the time on players 8 so far :(.

If u have the time to pop everything in Lower Kurast on single player or battle.net i would do so most the high runes I get are not even from the super chests but come from stashes corpses etc same goes for charms jewels and occasionally gear that is of some value for example socketed or superior armors and weapons. but as stated in the video you can just focus on the super chests if you want to be way more efficient. As for me ill be making a sorceress this next ladder reset and will be farming lower kurast through too travincal for all the chests bodies stashes etc.

It's true they could drop anywhere including charms i get rune drops from the monsters too i got an Amn rune from one of the monsters but i found charms from the corpses too i just got to Lower Kurast in Nightmare and i found 2 grand charms, a large charm and a small charm so that's 4 charms but if we did just the chests we'd get like 2 charms at best.

well runes have a dark orange title so just look for dark orange :P and charms are blue like magic items.

Did some math out of curiosity using this video and your 10k lower kurast runs video and got this for runs per rune: your runs vs calculated odds based on 63536 patterns and 6 chests per run: pul 17 =588 993 um 8 =1250 1214 mal 10 =1000 728 ist 5 =2000 1560 gul 10 =1000 993 vex 5 =2000 1821 ohm 4 =2500 2185 lo 2 =5000 5461 sur 6 =1667 993 ber 0 =n/a 3641 Real question is what are the odds you missed some runes because those huge chest drops are annoyingly large due to not being able to see all the drops at once and tons of piles of gold and potions. Like how many of those drop patterns for high runes are patterns that have enough items to hide the rune? You got a bit unlucky not finding any Ber runes and on number of Sur runes.
