highly recommend dim vision for souls, archers, and anything ranged that could be a problem in large numbers. it also disables council's hydra and stops ghoul lords from casting spells. really underrated curse that nearly breaks the game with mitigation :)

Skills that are able to alter AI are vastly underrated; Taunt for Barb is also a good example. People just forget these skills exist, and they struggle at the part that they shouldn't. Why bother fighting Baal's minions upfront, getting decrep at the same time where you could have pick them off one by one with taunt from miles away?

Revive is great if you want to Solo the Uber bosses, crushing blow from revived Udars makes it a breeze. As some one who only plays hardcore, don't overlook the power of dim vision. Best curse for survivability.

Def the best way to go if longevity is the goal.I had a lvl 84 HC Barb that died from the reflect damage bug in the chaos sanctuary,1 swing and bam.

All these Diablo videos turning up in my feed and really making me want to get back into it. I used to love single player, especially playing with mods like Eastern Sun, I think development stopped on that mod years ago but it's still really polished and fun, great different builds to try and different runes, loot and all in ways that in my opinion make the game better. My favourite build on that mod was a Zealot Paladin with Frozen Aura, the elemental auras are a lot more effective in this mod when fully synergised okay damage output on frozen aura but the synergies would buff the radius so by end game it was like becoming like a frost God powered paladin or some such watching things go blue and slow to a crawl almost as soon as they came on screen. Was cool. Ahh nostalgia.

You can get free skeletons from the orange portal in act 5 if you're quick before the monsters reanimate. In the outside area before going into the dungeon.

But not impossible. I have a server where I play alone because I dont like mods (Battle.net like server, vanilla, nothing touched). I got a couple Sur runes Ohms Mals and Jah. Maybe youre asking why U play in a server alone and dont use PlugY? Just because ladder games have increased difficulty (monsters think twice as fast), aside of the ladder advantages (runewords, items, etc).

Mage plate would be a way better. After 1.13 patch its actually not so difficult to find high runes. After about 2 months of solid grind you can get 2 enigmas, two infinity, fortitude, grief, couple of cta. You can enjoy 3-4 builds really good equipped.

I entirely see how this can be looked at as not as fun as other builds but at the same time there's something to be said about being able to unleash an army of the dead at your command, I don't know many other games that let you have anywhere close to this many summons at once.

After watching a couple of your videos I began playing single player again, made a windy druid not able for Hell right now, might never be, but anyway I was playing and said that I have never ever found a SOJ myself. I decide to do Andy and BOOM ten mins later I find one.. how mad is that? Having fun on single player its a lot trickier with no ladder runewords.

That's dope man, I'm pretty glad (and surprised) people like these vids. I wanted to make them b/c i felt the single player experience wasnt all that well served by the content that was out there. I've been thinking about making a windy druid for a while but I probably won't for a long time. I kinda never liked druids that much, but I have a fury druid (at lvl 24) that's gonna be my next char.

Exactly that, your doing something different altogether which is very interesting. Your builds are also quite different like the throw barb, I never knew they made a viable class.. ok maybe not with players 8 but single its clever! I will keep an eye out for the fury dru. I made the druid just because I knew how easy normal and nm would be they are one of my least favourite chars when geared up expensively, will prob be making a sorc now I have some ok gear to MF Hell a bit. I should also mention I only ever play HC so thats why I didnt initially go sorc. Keep up the good work though!

Mine died too lvl 78 in the end, was too close to exploding corpse effect from wave 3 minions on Baal run. THANK GOD i took the SOJ off him before that... was trying to get items like vipers/wizzy. He was no way capable of going through Hell... the lesson I learned was HC is pointless on SP unless you already have Hell ready gear on mules... this is especially true for ele druids as they need +skills gear or will be totally useless Im afraid :/ Also Lawbringer runeword is ladder only so really you need a reapers (for the decripify) which I dont think can be found in NM. It was still such a hard one to take as he had over 400% MF gear on including 48% WTs and 40% chance guards... I will never see rolls like that again haha!

Also if a cheaper alternative to beast would be an Iron golem summoned from a pride runeword based weapon for the concentration aura. If you have the mod PlugY installed to enable ladder runewords in single player. Or if you were lucky and you were able to get both a beast and pride then you would get some good damage out of it.

I'd be kinda surprised if you had a problem. Maybe P3 makes it a lot harder. But if you want to be more defensive, maybe you can try a holy freeze merc instead of a might merc, or use decrepify instead of amp damage. And the more +skills you get the better. Using corpse explosion is also extremely powerful, so I'd recommend throwing that in for sure. I'm not sure what level you are, but if you should at least have summon skele & summon mastery maxed out by this point.

@@kruggers1329 I know, P3 is very ambitious. Lol. But I guess I'm just used to beating Normal & Nightmare at P5. Playing it safe, level up, and hoping to get a good farm. I'll play at P1 in act 2. My gear is the worse and I bet Arm of King Leo and Trangs Claws are the only items you'll find beneficial (and you don't even recommend Trangs Claws lol). *I have Sazabi's Basinet *WEALTH armor *RHYME Zombie Head *+2 necro skills wand *Chance Guard *Gloom' Trap for the mana *MF + resistance rings *Resistance boots (I have Waterwalk lol) *Lvl 2 teleport + mana amulet (this has been very useful for me but very costly to repair, yikes!) On switch I have Pus Spitter for the necro skills bonus and to aid my minions in their onslaught. 🙃 I'm too concentrated on the MF and GF. 🤣 I have no skiller charms just MF, GF and resist charms. 😂 I have a Might Merc with G Face, Husaldol Evo and a trashy MF armor. Lol Skills distribution, I maxed Skeleton Mastery, physical skele, mage skele. *Lvl 5 Golem Mastery *Lvl 15 Summon Resist *1 to all Golems and Revive *1 to Corpse Explo, Teeth and Bone Armor *1 to Amp damage, Weaken, Terror and Decrep. Everything in my Necro is utterly undesirable. 😭 I just pick & equip what I find good and put skills to which I find helpful. 😂 I'm lvl 80 necro btw.

Maxing mages is useless. They don't scale well at all. Better off with putting a few more into CE and grabbing lower resist. And a iron golem made from insight

Iron golem can be absolutely broken, my necro has one created out of a runeword weapon with fanaticism aura and ridiculous damage, so my golem gets that extra damage and the aura, so now my minions have might from my hireling and fanaticism.

Use clay golem instead of fire. It has slow, so that + decrepify really slows the boss. Fire golem does very little

People conveniently forget that the sheer power of summon necro is divided by 50% corpse explosion, 35% curse, 10% merc, and 5% summons, which explains why summon druid sucks because he only has 15% of such power, despite the fact the druid summonings are vastly superior than necro's.

dude you need to tele on top of mobs you need max skel max mage mastery and corps explosion 10 (b4 +skills)in clay golem (use that not fire golem) one in every thing in summon tree and for the rest does not matter. only use amp dmg curse (perhaps lower res for groupplay) decrep is if you are weak only and stacks with claygolem slow aura with good gear it's a great bosskiller

I'm playing single player too. took probably half the time to get to lvl 72 as I did my trapsin to get 72. trapsin was fun, till hell. can't even get past act 1 lol. now I just need to find runes to get an enigma, because the revived monsters are always lagging behind and they disappear :(

Also sometimes you can find teleport on circlets and amulets. Cant remember if the blue/magic circlets can have tele but I think the amulets have to be rare though. Not easy to find but can really help.

don't you think fcr is overrated on a summoner? Do you really kill much faster with more fcr? I play a similar build with similar equip and came to notice that every once in a while your skellies die so you need to recast them, nothing where you'd need fcr. then you cast decrepify/amplify damage which you only cast once or twice, wait for the first minion to die and then you cast a couple corpse explosions, again nothing where you'd need a lot of fcr. Your items are cool, but I'd think about changing the amulet since there are way better ones that don't have the 10fcr but other more useful stats. Anyways, cool videos I'm in awe of your findings, especially that you put an Enigma together on SP. Only HRs I ever found were a Vex and an Ohm...

yeah, all the fcr is useful for is teleport really. The fcr on this char is pretty low-cost.. not much tradeoffs involved in getting it to a decent amount. Arach would be the best belt even if it didnt have fcr, I would probably say the same for magefists and leoric wand as well. I could replace the ammy, but the idea with the ammy was I would eventually get a beast weapon (might never happen), and then I would actually use the fcr from my ammy for a breakpoint.

well... as i say in the video you can make a summon necro with way worse gear that this guy has. In terms of how long it took to make this character, not long at all. How long did it take to acquire the gear (which i did on other characters)? A long time. For the life of me i can't understand why someone would "buy" a premade necro. You can get a hero editor software for free and make one. But i also can't understand why anyone would want to do that, it's just so boring. I've got a vid up about where I find stuff in single player. All the typical mf spots. Obvious stuff.

I have the lastest version of the game, which hero editor doesn't work on right now, (I tried, no luck). I agree, its boring to do it the short cut way and be lazy about it but I also work like 70 hours a week and I don't have a lot of time to dump into playing the game and farming and all that good stuff so I would rather just jump to the end and have some fun that way.

I will never understand why summoners dont put a single point in bone spear/spirit. It will help pop the first corpse explosion and you also dont stand and do nothing vs boss fights :)

Revives are much much tankier than skelletons or merc. When I was doing mephisto runs, I experimented with different summons vs mephisto. In one run on players 4 mephisto easily kills 3 skeletons while merc is busy dealing damage. If mephisto starts attacking merc then merc dies in like 5-6 hits. A skeleton dies in 9-10 hits. So does iron golem. Skelly-mage dies in 1-2 hits. Then i tried 1 revive of different type i found in the halls of the dead (urdar, undead stygian, vampire and zombie). Mephisto wasnt even able to get a stygian doll (weakest revive) to half hp.

I revive monsters that are capable of killing the physical immunes, as physical immunes can be a challenge for the summoner build: Ghoul Lords, Sirens, Imps, Souls, etc. Also Urdars for crushing blow.

Cheap build? Give me a break. Enigma...call to arms, arch, you probably cheated to get that stuff. Those runes are ungodly rare and it could take months or perhaps years of playing on and off to slowly find those items . And skellys do poop damage, your merc does more damage than all of them combined. They are simply tankers for your merc
