Great guide, was leveling insanely fast after I got a decent gamble and got an ethereal at like level 23. Then I made a flail and reduced it 28 levels. Instantly skipped to torment 3 at level 45 and am flying through levels currently

That's why you train the blacksmith to level 12. He won't have level 70 weapons available to craft otherwise.

Just started d3 at the start of august. One week in, this video is the first and last guide i looked for. Now that im a month deep i have Wiz/Cru/Barb/Necro all to 70 and all in set gear. All of them can reach t10-15 and im a mere month into game. This video was immensely helpful

I been playing for 5 days and got my cruisader up to 70 in green and legendary gear. Currently woking on my barbarian, and reached level 42 in an hour or two. Leorics ring grants 25% exp, and built 2 sets of green gear for a whooping 70% exp total (just the gear)

Seasonal character does not benefit from paragons or items you have.

@@frankfrankster2986 that's the problem, it's completely useless. For a regular character, there is no need to rush. Furthermore, if you ever reach the point where you can do 80% of these methods, then it's likely you're already 70. This video is comparable to climbing 2/3 of a mountain then descending to the base to change shoes to make the last 1/3 easier. Either way try to spin this, season are not, you're either 70 or 70+ aka paragon , at which point other methods are now more viable. Now sit.

Made a new account after a LONG time of not playing and it's disgusting how easy necromancer is for leveling. Haha. I remember how annoying it was on my monk when the game released. Also, cursed chest for me is hands down the most fun out of the fast ways for a solo player. Massacre is ok too but so stressful for some classes

You can use a dagger with a Demon Hunter in Diablo 3? I thought you needed a bow or crossbow at minimum in order to shoot?

There a specific builds/skills that use melee weapons for DH. So yes you can. In fact the season 25 gift set is one of those builds that use it.

I followed the steps to extract the legendary stats for a passive. Forged 5 different scythes, looking for stats I wanted. I was confused on whether or not I should've paid attention to the original stats prior to upgrading it to a legendary, not knowing that it would've changed at that point. Anyhow, I picked one, upgraded it but it turned out to be a green set piece. Now it won't let me extract. Tried to start over with one of the other rare scythes I forged but now I'm short of resources for a couple of items...

Hey Ed! Hope you are doing well! I'm trying to work backwards in the guide and understand where you are. Sounds like you are working on trying to extract a legendary in the cube and then selecting that as 1/3 (4 in Season 22) cube slots. You can pick any item (dont worry about its yellow stats). Dont waste your time picking a good stat yellow item, it does not matter in your case. This will randomly upgrade the item. Green piece is a very good item (that is a set item). Put that in your stash and wear it when you get more of the same set. Wearing multiple pieces (of the same set), gives you cool bonus stats . Unfortunately in this case, you have to keep rolling. Only legendary items can be used for cube slots. Green will not work. Hope this helps.

@@TomSundayGames Hey, I'm doing well and thanks for responding. I managed to get lucky with a legendary scythe drop soon after and just used that for extraction as soon as I found another weapon that outclassed it. Worked a charm. What really put me over the top was the tip on upgrading the mystic to be able to roll a level 70 2-hand scythe that I got down to level 43... I actually had to bump up the difficulty a couple of levels as things were just too easy after that, lol.

Hey there! My suggestion is just play teh campaign and enjoy the game. If its your first time, dont follow any speed leveling guides. Just play and have fun. It is complex but only if you want it to be. I hope this helps.

All these guide refer to Challenge RIfts... and I understand why they are so important but i dont have ANY character on lvel 70. so i can not do those challenge rifts.. theres no guide for that..

The challenge rifts are more of a crutch than anything. You can still level, just without the resource boost. Still take your followers weapons, buy the best gear you can, run a lot of normal rifts, and if you get a Leoric's crown put a ruby in it. (Not a broken crown, Leoric's crown, they look similar) Helps to play a little below the highest difficulty you can handle (whenever I start a character I start on expert because while I can still kill things on master, it takes longer). Salvage gear if you can (at the blacksmith), don't sell it. You'll need the resources. Still run out to the Ruins of Sescheron in act 3 and grab Kanai's cube, theres just no need to do it early. That's essentially how I've been leveling since seasons first came out. Also, try to kill multiple things at once. In diablo, killing 3 things and killing 5 things takes about the same amount of time, try to attract and kill a lot of mobs at once. Good luck

I stumbled onto diablo 3 after getting stucked in diablo act 2 final chapter and having difficulty beating Duriel and eventually i lost interest. Now diablo 3 is a beauty. I should have started sooner. Lol. And thanks to your guide i now know when i can start doing the challenger rift (level 16 at the moment). All in all, I'm having way more fun in diablo 3 as compared to diablo 2.

I like the guide but have watched others and not exactly unique right now. The 1st guide I watched learned about challenge rift and cubing things level 1 so that was helpful but would have preferred more in depth and w/ possible fast forwarded gameplay and time frame estimates to hit certain milemarkers. Then other advice such as when to change difficulties and/or switch from cains/born gear (if they are even worth using) for exp to higher damage items would have been helpful. Personally, before watching the video it took me about 5-6 hours to hit 70 solo on a new character in a season and even after using a level 25 gem of ease took about 2-3 hours to level up a new class. Possibly discuss leveling up 1st time in a season and separate section for those leveling an alt.

Yes, but not in the season mode, once you beat it, go to the game settings and select the separate mode outside the game.

you need mortal breath to upgrade your blacksmith which requires being level 61 or more, without mortal breath you can reach level 10 at the blacksmith so you could craft a level 60 weapon but you won't have the mortal breath to upgrade it to legendary. Before you say anything, greater rifts drop mortal breath because you have to be level 70 to do them, normal rifts below level 60 doesn't drop mortal breath and there isn't a way to obtain them before level 61

Leoric's Crown has a chance to drop well before you actually meet him while progressing in Act I. You can identify it and equip it. No, I'm not talking about the quest item. Then further in the story after you defeat him you can get it again.

There are daggers that give boosts for DH, one is lord greenstones fan, every second, you gain 400% increased damage for your next fan of knives, and it stacks 30 times

I never understand these videos because to get all this stuff (like lvl 12 on the mystic) you need Death Breaths which you cant get until higher difficulty. You dont have recipes for better weapons so maybe im just confused but i can never find out how to do this stuff

excellent guide, i just have one big question....i roll a bunch of legendary items from kadala but those items are low level, as i kill enemies, i got drops with better stats (more defense or attack, etc) should i keep my legendaries from kadala even if other pieces have better stats but are not legendary?

If you find items that are higher level/stronger I recommend equipping it. You can always put the legendaries you have in the cube or salvage them at the blacksmith as you will need Forgotten Soul for other recipes in the cube (Sorry if you figured that out by now seeing as this is a month old comment.)

Im not new to diablo but i havent played in a while and first time i do a seasonal character. So the first thing i need to do to level up is doing and end game challenger rift? At what Difficulty? Also you say to grab the followers weapon? what does that mean? Like grab them and put them in my inventory? That doesnt do anything! you dont give any other explanation. The guide looks good but super comfusing!

@@TomSundayGames only on pc ? since when lol as far as i know as a new player who just got the collection version with the DLC on Xbox this method works fine the only part that doesn't is challenge rifts but its easy to solve lol just do what it says u need to do to get the challenge rift unlocked in normal non-season after it's unlocked then start the season and do it for the stuff also on non-season its easy to find someone to power lvl you on Xbox and you can get the rift unlock pretty quick

No you do not have to play season. There just isn't any reason to not play a seasonal character due to the bonus rewards you can get (armor sets etc) because your seasonal character reverts to a normal character when the season ends.

You don't have to finish the game to do this. If you create a seasonal character, you can start in adventure mode and do all of this without finishing campaign :)

Think of a challenge rift as a mini game. You just choose challenge rift and it puts you at 70 with the gear already. It's stand alone and doesn't have anything to do with the rest of the game except the rewards it sends you once you complete it.

I’m trying to sort this out myself. On Xbox it says I need to complete a solo greater rift before I can challenge rift. However on my Mac there’s no such restrictions. That greatly limits the resources I can get and limits greatly my gambling opportunities and crafting while gaming on console. Trying to find a work around because after five rifts I couldn’t get a greater rift keystone to drop.

@@davidrichardson5129 that is very odd. Every Nephalem Rift should drop a key regardless of difficulty, unless you aren't a sufficient level. Have you completed the campaign through Act 5?

I came here hoping for a variation for console players. My character isn't even 50 yet and I've just been completing random massacres. Not really trying too hard.

Wasting resources on cubing legendary powers right out of the gate is a nonsense suggestion. Not only do you have zero control over what legendary spawns with an upgrade (meaning it's legendary affix could be worthless for you), but additionally not all legendary gear even HAS a power you can extract, and just for an extra kick in the teeth, upgrade can spawn set items as well, which again, completely irrelevant. All told, doing this first thing is a massive waste of time and resources.

By the time you get all the mats to be able to do the stuff in this video you'll be working on your paragon levels. I followed this video for a while, but when I got to step: upgrade to Legendary I was paragon 10. Soooo... leveling to 70? This guide is not useful. All you need is to get yourself a Leorics Crown, plug in a red gem, increase the difficulty as you go and just play the game.
