Dude playing this build isn't hard, but playing it optimally is insane: First of all keeping track of the CoE rotation in a scenario like that 5:44 is out of the question since you die in 3 hits (thanks force armor) because you have to constantly teleport to dodge the infinite amount of shit being thrown at you. With no real sustain other than a little shield generated with force weapon you have to rely on luck with gogok stacks and unstable anomaly. So bitch please, save your comment for reddit next time.

Welp, you just earned a sub. I love Diablo 3 because it just feels like having raw, absolute power when playing it (I have yet to get past normal reaper of souls stuff :p) I've turned away from it actually THREE times now - once out of boredom when it was still new, and twice because I got frustrated/confused at trying to find a build. I will admit that...kind of turns me away a bit in games like this. The idea of "Oh this ability is cool, but the 100+ grift builds have no use for it" really grinds me gears, coupled with the insanely RNG gearing... But hey, I actually understand what's being explained here for once, and that triple elite pack kill was utterly boss. I might just start playing D3 again just to give this a go. Not big on playing season or getting into leaderboards but you've my respect sir!

Great tutorial and nice gameplay. I do want to point out that you sometimes forget to enable the slow time bubble while in archon. Not a big deal, but would help with survivability in high GRs where ranged attacks can easily kill you ;-)

I have a question. The dps comes from manald but it has only 15 % chance to proc the parlaisis. So sometimes when i burst with 4 stacks of talrasha and electricty on coe, paralisis doesnt proc and i dont do enough dmg to kill the elites in one burst, anyt tips ? ( sory for bad englando)

It comes from a combination of good CDR on items (around 64%) and a strict maintenance of 15 gogok stacks at all times.

Hey I'm so desperate right now. I have pretty well rolled gear with a couple ancients but I fail so hard to clear greater rift 70. I almost always get 1-shottet by everything and can't really do dmg cuz I have to move all the time. Switched to Zodiac recently cuz it's a little easier to learn archon Wizz but then still I die again and again and again. Maybe it's the rift mobs? Idk. Did 10 GRs and always got stuff like spear goats and ghosts and stuff and it just rapes me. Is there any le gem option I could use to stay alive a little longer? Maybe stuff like Mutilation or such?

The problem I have is that even with stacking my gogok I always end up being very slightly off sync with the lightning phase of my COE. I see in your video that you have 63.28% CDR and I have 62.60%, how is that possible since I rolled max CDR on every item except amulet? thx

You'll need it on neck as well. I was in the same boat, had a really nice neck with no cdr and was hoping to get away with using it, but kept falling behind rotation by a second or so every archon. Had to spam upgrade rares to get a replacement neck with cdr :(

I just have a question regarding activation of the Archon timing to get optimal coe buff. I see on your video that you say it's to activate it during the first second of fire cycle, however during your gameplay at 7:00, you activate only at the beginning of lightning cycle. I'm kinda new to wizard so sorry for the Noob question, but if were using Archon-Combustion doesn't that make Archon's abilities turn to Fire dmg? I'm just kinda lost cause I saw you had +20% lightning dmg on your bracers and I know the Starfire in cube is 15%lightning dmg x4. The only lightning ability I'm showing I have equipped is Black Hole-Spell steal.

Due to the set armor, you will get all the Archon abilities, so it will default to whatever your highest elemental damage is. If you roll lighting, it will default to lighting damage during your Archon. Just make sure you don't have a different elemental type in your amulet.

No problem. Look above the skill bar to make sure you are doing all 4 elemental types, to gain the most damage. The added lighting should now cause stun and paralysis to proc, and this will help you survive as well.

Good question. These are interchangeable; however, the star fire is preferred due to the fact that it has two secondary stats. When I recorded the game play, I did not have a well-rolled star fire, so I was forced to run with this.

Lightning from archon u need to have lighting dmg on neck or bracers or u won't have the lightning dmg on ur archon and if u don't have eny lightning in archon u can't procc manald heal ( the ring)

Why not use a lightning damage rune so you'll have at least 3 stacks of tal while outside the archon? Cause the paralys passive wont be triggered outside the archon otherwise, right?

your damage outside of archon doesnt matter/is almost non-existant in high GRs. this build maximises the damage while you are in archon. when outside of archon you just pull mobs together and keep up gogok, while surviving with calamity teleport/APD bracers combo.

I use blink (calamity) and I gain 1 stack of tal rasha, when I blackhole spellsteal, I don't gain a stack, why is that? Extra, I use Magic Missile (cold) for the 3rd tal stack. However as mentioned, black hole / calamity won't give me a double stack...

By blink, I assume you mean teleport. If that is the case, it is because both calamity and spellsteal deal arcane damage. Tals stacks come from DIFFERENT elemental skill. Cold will come from magic middle. Fire will come from the initial burst of archon if you have the combustion rune equipped and lightning will come from archon skills, as long as your highest rolled elemental damage is lightning. This is achieved by rolling +lightning% damage on bracers.

I've been running this build and I love it, but I've got a question/problem does your main damage come from the 8 seconds of tal stacks in archon? most of time I melt everything in those 8 seconds and after that I'm only doing tickling damage, and when I'm out of archon the mobs health pretty much don't move. some insights would be helpful, thanks.

Yeah. Your damage is really limited to those first few seconds. I would take it further and say the vast majority of your damage is dealt within the 4 seconds of your lightning coe rotation when you are pushing higher GRs. This is why it is so important to get good mobs gathered on your downtime.

Hey mate, your problem is that your arcon is not doing lightning damage whats means that you only have 3 stacks and what´s more important you´r not getting procs of the manal ring. To change that you need to have one piece with lightning damage %. That will change your arcon damage to lightning. Hope it helps :D

Archon deals elemental damage based on the highest elemental damage increase on your stat sheet. To achieve this, roll + lightning damage% on bracers. I broke this down in the most recent video I posted, which is a variant on this build. Check that out for a thorough explanation.

GwDr4ken- archon damage takes the element of the highest element on your build. The lightning roll makes this element lightning, thus turning all archon damage after the initial combustion into lightning damage.

1. We pop during fire because we have 8 seconds of tals stacks and each CoE cycle is 4 seconds. This allows us to still fully utilize the lightning cycle and lets archon end 4 seconds earlier than it would if we popped during lightning. This allows more wiggle room for the archon cooldown on the next cycle. 2. MM is a signature spell and is free to cast. It serves as a cold proc and also has a very quick recast speed. It's the preferred choice because of how well rounded it is. 3. There is a hydra variant of this build which I will be making a video of soon so stayed tuned for that! 4. This build is designed for high grs. BotS becomes more powerful than BotT the longer the engagement, which is more common as you push. This is especially true for the RG.

Black Hole spell steal only lasts for 5 seconds (assuming it doesn't refresh as another mob is pulled in) so wouldn't it be better to cast Archon just over half way through fire to get the maximum use out of those stacks?

Sometimes it seems like my laser beam (in archon mode of course) wont hit the mobs, and when it hits, its not that big deal of damage, the white ones wont even die sometimes =\. Any tips? Maybe it is the aiming wrong?

If you are doing everything correctly and your archon form is dealing lightning damage, then the answer would be because either A, you maybe sweeping the beam too fast for your attack speed, or B and the more likely scenario, your Menald's Heal just hasn't proc'd yet. Pretty much ALL of your damage is when your Menald's Heal ring procs, so if you just get the short end of the stick RNGwise, you can have moments when you do little to no damage. Just keep kiting and keep using your beam and when it does finally proc just wait for the guts to fly.

Each stack is additive and multiplicative with the rest of your stats. So 4 stacks= %3000 damage increase. It's a very important buff to keep stacked.

Hey man so I just started playing this build, and i'm noticing some serious hit box issues with archon beam....I've read up a little bit on it and i'm not talking about the shitty damage when MH isn't proccing...i'm talking no damage at all when my beam is clearly moving right through the middle of mobs. i'll reposition and move the beam back and forth through the mob with ZERO numbesr showing up, than suddenly out of no where it'll find the hit box and a zillion little numbers will show up and the mob melts. Have you had any problems with this? It legit makes this build, which I think can be the most fun of any in game, really fucking stupid.

Question: I've cleared 93 with the zodiac variation and recently changed to this coe build because the zodiac feels to lack the dps, problem is that my MH doesn't proc much anymore? i literally can spend the entire Archon cycle with 1 proc. A bit frustrating watching other people having the proc always when popping to Archon during the lightning phase and blowing up big packs =)

Hey!Thanks so much for the support! :) Unfortunately that reliance on RNG is one of the down falls of the build, but you can mitigate this slightly by increasing your attack speed. This should allow you better chances at procing manald's damage.

How importan is the LoH? Noone in the season leaderboards seems to have it. Also how much of a difference is the AS on the weapon? It happens way too often to me that nothing dies during my lightning cycle because MH seems to not proc.

Luiz Perez there are a few people that use it. I know xTonyJ on the NA servers uses it and he's cleared a 104... it really come down to preference and how comfortable you are with the build. LoH on the weapon is going to give you 20k LoH and allow you to tank so much more damage. This should allow you to anchor down during the lightning rotation and take full advantage of it. However, if you are able to always place yourself in a situation where you aren't taking damage during the lightning rotation, then it's better to keep into on the weapon...

I'm gonna be that guy.... I keep insta dying. What is the main form of survivability here? Because I feel when I teleport around, I'm just getting destroyed. I have all required pieces. My damage is fine, I just die. I used speed build to do GR67, then I try this build just in a GR50 to get used to it, and yes I cleared it, but I still got destroyed on occasions. You don't. It's a trade off with this build. We sacrifice archon cooldown time for more damage. The reason why we wouldn't change to CoE on a build like the speedfarming setup, is because we don't need the extra damage. In that case we need speed and that's what obsidian gives us.

i feel like even if i sync up 2 archon buffs with the lightning rotation on coe i am unable to burst through an elite before my tals stacks drop. am i just insanely unlucky with my paralysis procs?

Before tals drops off? If you are carrying swami stacks over into the next rotation, it sounds like you are doing everything right.. but you shouldn't have an issue keeping tals up for the entire lightning rotation... What is your cdr? If it's high enough, I would suggest popping archon about halfway through the fire cycle so you can take advantage of black hole as well. You have to have very good CDR to be waiting this long though.

My main issue with this build is I keep dying while trying to get to my second archon stack, and when I do i die while still on fire rotation a lot, and then when i get to lightning the mobs dont immediately vaporize the way you get them to. Is it a situation where I need to just keep teleporting through the rift until i find an open area and not even try to fight in certain areas? Ive gotten to GR85 with hydra/zodiac but with this build im having issues at 80. Is there a hard CDR breakpoint I have to hit for it to work at all? Im at 61.5

Question, why do you take rune- combustion on archon if vyr set give it the effect of every rune?

Vincent Johnson I'm not him--but by taking Combustion, it makes the explosion when entering Archon a source of Fire damage (without selecting that rune, it would be Lightning since he has +% Lightning damage bracers). Since it counts as fire, and the other Archon attacks are lightning, it creates 2 stacks for the Tal Rasha set bonus rather than just one.

I cant seem to get all my 4 stacks on the 750 dmg buff, how do you get all 4? i have exactly the same items as you. AND ablility and runes. but i do only get 3 stacks. this is driving me nuts

Do you have lightning rolled on your bracers? It needs to be the highest elemental damage in order to turn archon damage into lightning.

Also remember to teleport. Teleport - Calamity gives you a stack(arcane I believe). Often overlooked.

I need help with My Archon wizard. I know My gear isnt the best But I am getting there. What am i doing wrong with playstyle, one minute I oneshot the rift guardian in Archon form and the next i cant even kill trashmops (while still in Archon) what am I doing wrong? He has the 2 set bonus from vyr's set that gives all the archon runes

If you have everything set like I do, but you are not getting the full abilities, it is likely that you have too many Tal's pieces or are missing RoRG. You should have 5 tals pieces and 3 vyrs pieces as well as a RoRG either worn or in the cube.

+Gabriel Talbot archon skills deal lightning damage as long as lightning is your highest elemental damage. Roll on bracers to ensure this.

Gabriel Talbot if you're talking about combustion, that only deals fire damage the moment you pop into archon. Your archon skills damage are based on your highest elemental damage and this stat is only rolled on bracers or ammy. The elemental damage on weapons DOES NOT matter.

Hmm.. thats odd. If you have all the same skills/runes that I have and you arent getting a fourth tal stack I would check to make sure lightning is your highest elemental damage. You should have it rolled on your ammy or bracers.

I had the same problem, However! simply making sure your bracers have an increase in lightening damage works a treat as soon i go into archon now it pops 4 stacks and its firing blue!

Your archon is behaving differently than mine. Even when my items are the same as in the video aswell as the runes, the beam of my archon is red while yours is blue.

you need increased lightning damage % on your bracers, this forces archon to use lightning. you probably have fire.

how much damage and toughness do you have base then. I'm at 2.4 dmg and 17m toughness and get one shot on GR 80

Probabbly your movement, :) People at the top have told me that I have higher toughness and hp than they have, it's just that they can play it better lol.

If you get hit out of archon and your save cds are blown then you will definitely get one shot. This is a very difficult build to play, we all die alot.

Fazulas Improbable Chain allows you to start with between 40 and 50 stacks when entering archon. Theres a full gearing guide in the details of the video you can check out as well.

Hi. Do you have Lightning damage on your bracers?=) What happens at 7:00 is Manald Heal proccing during the Lightning phase of Convention of Elements + overlapping Archon stacks(old stacks and the new 50 ) + Tal Rasha 4 element stacks

Yea exactly like you said,its all about MH proccing,even with all the damage multipliers the beam is kinda weak without the proc=) What i personally discovered about my playing is that i've been popping Archon way too early in the fire phase,now i started using Black Hole after halfway of fire and then Archon,that way i've been getting alot better results,blowing up several elites at once. I used to get the proc on fire therefor no damage =)

You pop black hole too early. You're getting nothing out of it. It lasts 5 seconds and it's gone by the time lightning comes up.
