Re : The Royal Crypt: one season, years ago, I spawned a goblin before and after the breakable door. The second one was at the opposite end of the door to the Skelly King’s throne room. So I check every inch of those maps. I have also had goblins spawn in northern highlands and the small area above leoric’s hunting ground. I believe changing the goblin spawn locations is a seasonal task for the dev team. For instance, I never saw a spawn in the Highlands Cave in the Northern Highlands... but goblins can appear there in seasons 21 and 22. I think mention of specific spawn locations triggers a move. But that could just be they move some locations each season to prevent the public from checking only the spawn locations instead of a variety of maps.

I thought this too. I kept records of my rainbow goblin hunt. And each goblin type and location. After over 300 goblins I gave up that season. But over the next few seasons I found some locations that previously worked gave 0. And other spots that had yielded 0, were consistently providing goblins. The Highland caves became a spawn point. How did I come to this conclusion? 5000 bounties forcing me all over the map. For a reasonable data set. There is some consideration that probability isn't a flat experience. But a sample set of 5000 could overcome the dry spells. But maybe my set is too small... I could be wrong.

Congrats on getting your Cosmic Wings! I play solo on PS4 and have two accounts. My first account, I’ve gone through 54 Rainbow Goblin portals but still no Cosmic Wings. On my second account I got my Cosmic Wings on the fourth Rainbow Goblin portal. I made a new Wizard on that account which was on hard mode and it was character level 11. She has about 250 paragon points right now. I was just looking for Ravi Lilywhite so I could add Liv Moore to that account. The last thing I expected to see was Princess Lilian. I was in shock. Again, congrats and great info!

When you enter rainbow land (farming solo) if you TP back to town prior to killing the Princess, will the cosmic wings drop? Someone told me once you enter rainbow land, don’t TP to town prior to killing or else you won’t get wings.

I haven't heard that before. What I HAVE heard is that if someone in the party is not inside rainbow land when Princess is killed, they will not get the drop.

I have found that if you do the Caverns of Araneae while the Queen's Dessert is an active bounty the cocoons can spawn a goblin, plus there's a chance to find a goblin in the zone while doing the bounty. What I haven't figured out is if it's anything other than Treasure Goblins that spawn out of the cocoons.

I haven't thought of that! However, I'd avoid that cavern considering it's so big and only one goblin has a chance to spawn, making that tileset inefficient to run

Is anyone have find a rainbow goblin in ps4 season 23 hardcore? Me or any of my friends havent seen rainbow goblins in this season. Is there some kind of bug, that those dosent spawn? Previous seasons it have been around 1 rainbow goblin in 1 h. Now over 50h goblin grinding and no rainbow goblins…

I did an hour of solo farm in only Pandemonium and an hour of solo farm in all acts. When the creator says Pandemonium is "by far" the best zone to farm, I would have expected the gob count to be roughly equal from these 2 methods, with Pandemonium slightly edging out checking all acts. But for me, I found 40 gobs in 1 hour of Pandemonium only, and 52 gobs in 1 hour of checking all acts (including some zones that are typically not recommended). Now, I know RNG is RNG, and 1 hour is a small amount of time to collect data, but yeah that's how it was for me. I'll probably try this again and post an update if anyone cares, and no, I did not keep track of every location where I found a goblin.

I just came across my second RBG in a total of 5 years of playing...lol I got a cheeseburger as a weapon out of it though. I come across regular treasure goblins and blood thiefs waaaay more than anything.

You're in luck because farming pet goblins works the same as farming rainbow goblins. I found plenty of pet goblins while simultaneously searching for rainbow goblins and was able to collect all pet drops

Dude even getting just one rainbow goblin takes like so damn long. I been playing the game all day today literally from early morning to night nonstop basically and haven’t even come across one rainbow goblin. And I go to the top recommended goblin farm routes. I barely even come across the pet napping goblins but at least they DO show up for me once in a blue moon. But I literally never get a rainbow goblin. It’s completely ridiculous. Like I get this is supposed to be super rare and all but cmon man. This is just literally insane. If someone puts this much time and dedication to the game I think you should just reward them at this point. Like I legit play this game nonstop almost everyday attempting every dang challenge and like grind for various things. The cosmetic wings may be literally the hardest things in the entire game to farm for. It’s literally purely based on luck and it’s like you need luck on top of luck because you need to be lucky to even get a rainbow goblin which is damn well near impossible and then be lucky enough to get the proper enemy needed to kill for the wings which is even more damn well near impossible. At least for Falcon Wings you just go to act 4 Garden Hope tier 1 area and you can rinse and repeat pretty damn quickly and get the wings relatively quickly compared to freakin cosmic wings. I by extreme luck actually got m Falcon wings on just my second try on my switch. Literally first chest I came across during second time had them. But cosmic wings be damned man. Getting all the other wings in the game are far easier and that includes the ones for the set dungeons which you technically can get almost at the same time if your really good enough. And then the necromancer ones which you get for doing all his class achievements. I think they need to up the chance to at least get the rainbow goblins. Maybe not for the enemy spawn you need when you get in Whimsydale but at least increase the chances for getting the goblins to get the portal to go there. Cause I mean if anything you can at least farm the area for other things. But playing a game long as I have and not even seeing one is just seriously ridiculous. I have yet to see one in my whole time of playing the game on my switch and I’ve only ever seen like 5 I think total or so on my PS4 version. And I been playing this game for years on both systems.

Would Princess Lilian also be spawned in Whimsyshire? Whimsyshire is the one you enter in act-1, because you own a Staff of Herding. Whimsydale is the one you enter after killing a Rainbow goblin.. They are 2 different realms.

Add Halls of agony lvl 1 & lvl 2 to the list - 4 runs - 4 goblins, 2 times on lvl 1 and 2 times on lvl 2.

I haven't collected data on Halls of Agony lvl 1-3, but I run them if i have extra time in a group run. The tileset isn't friendly for goblin farming

If u found princess lilian , then 100% u Will get the Wings . Its legendary drop items called “cosmic wings” . And wow u so lucky if u met her alot.. 😃

I highly encourage you to check out the "Community" feature in D3 (which is similar to "Clan") where you can find RBG Communities. But make sure they're active enough because not all RBG communities are created equal. May RNG be ever in your favor.
