For those that don't want to voice chat(like myself), the only advice i would give is learn the raid in T1/2 so you know what you have to do and when /how, so when you get to T3/4, you can just run through it. As long as you know what you are doing, having no voice is fine. Just make sure you leave enough time to do it as its not a 5 min thing, and if your group aren't great, you could take longer.

Got this one today, it's awesome. Mount seemed to drop from t1,t2 or t3 can't remember and the mount armor from t4. You can quite easily find groups with random people

I think raids need to always be a team activity that requires puzzle solving etc. Otherwise you're ultimately doing a Horde or NM with some mechanics. It wont be a fun experience.

Is the mount at 5:00 the "Reins of the Longfur Beast"? if yes, then we have only one month (October 8-November 8) to get it. Which in my opinion is not great, I would have preferred at least 1-2 weeks to have a chance to reach Torment 4 difficulty and make sure I have an endgame build working as best as I can before going for time-limited rewards like this. Please correct me if I'm wrong, I would honestly love to be wrong as I would like to at least have a try at getting that mount myself, but I'm taking the one month time-limit straight from the Blizzard News site.

what do you mean 1-2 weeks to reach torment 4 before events starting? 1 month is 4 weeks. You have your two weeks to hit T4, and then another two weeks to beat the raid. Thats plenty of time.

Yeah, I’m a solo player on console. With no interest in group play. I really hope they don’t ruin (not ruined. That’s too strong a word )this game by making this raid and using team up with people, the coolest thing to do in the game. Because that’s the kind of thing that I say OK time to find something else to play. I know that stinks and probably a bad attitude on my part but it is also a reality and I’m sure I’m not alone

Ran this with Randoms on party finder on T2. Me and another guy well geared and had a clue. Another guy kinda mid and last guy was hard carried. Wiped a couple times on the bosses but learned each time and got all wings cleared in less than an hour. Fun new content.

so i have a question i cant quite find the answer to anywhere so i figured id ask my favorite diablo guy on the relevant video and hope for an answer. i just today started doing the raid (was waiting for a friend who couldnt commit much time to the game). gorshak just obliterates my friend once he goes invulnerable the first time, and im the one who put most of the build together for him! all his armor and resistances are good, and it says hes killed by burst of fury. ive literally just sat in front of him myself to let him pound on me with a similar set up and i can tank him for a good long while. any thoughts?

While I can't say it is bad without playing it, I definitely can say that if I wanted an experience like that I would be playing something else. There is an intersection of ARPG players and MMO players. There is also an intersection of Diablo players and EA soccer players. That doesn't mean a soccer mode would belong in Diablo. Considering how much a section of the Diablo fanbase hates WoW, I wouldn't be scared if a soccer career mode was more popular than raids in D4. The soccer example is bad - but not because WoW is fantasy, but because a lot of Diablo fans don't hate soccer, or at least not as much as they hate raids. While the D4 devs are making improvements to the game, they massively failed at reading the room sometimes - when they imagined a Diablo game more challenging, slower paced, Lost Ark-ish/Black Desert-ish, for instance. The game almost died and they had to turn an 180 degree, into D3 without sets, and that second coming of D4 did well. Now they are adding... Raids? Challenging raids on top of it? On an ideal world, D4 devs could be "artsy" and slapping in crazy ideas/their vision. This is an AAA game meant to make profits for shareholders, with a fanbase that responds really well to laid back, more of the same content. This ain't and indie game, where devs can throw a Chris Wilson ego trip and tell people to leave if they don't like it. I would really like to keep those devs around, but sometimes I feel like they are in the wrong company. Minor separation here - my bias is "I hate raids and that makes me want to quit". That is irrelevant tho. My point is: Diablo fans usually don't respond well to things like that. People who enjoy things like that moved on to different games a long time ago. That strategy looks super risky for an AAA game selling skins.

I agree I used to play destiny 24/7 (before I got D4 last year) and I lioed raiding in destiny at first then stopped liking it because it forced me to have to have friends or a group on at the same time always. But D4 I can literally do all the content solo or in a group... Raids in D4 seem meh but it does have a Group finder/matchmaking so thats a great sign. I hope we don't need to have a mic tho because I play on XSX and like to watch YT videos and listen to music on my PC while I play. So hopefully I can just play the raid with randoms casually... Minion Necro 4lyfe btw so I'm hyped regardless.

Ok but citadel in T4 is still easy asf so those cosmetics don't really mean anything. It would be cool if these had some hardcore variants which are red or something. Because completing the T4 citadel in HC is actually challenging.

depends on how they are gonna deal with the legacy gear and new paragon levels, probably would be faster but not by that much, i would expect old itens to be marked as legacy and not be as good anymore

Tried this just to get a feel for it. Feel sorry for the group that I join. It fell apart. It wasn't very intuitive and no one is communicated. I did try to use party chat. The only thing I saw was a single word "come here" after a few of my hellos. So yah, confusing and it requires some nerding up before doing. That is, you have to scour the internet for guides. I think it can be very difficult to start new so unlike undercity, I would wait until you have a build with all your basic stuff set. That said, the rewards, even for getting one wing done was decent. (couldn't do all three). So many references, rules and randos online just aren't very good for this. I am not a big twitch or discord gamer, not yet anyway. It doesn't seem right that you need to have several alternative chatrooms and logins to just chill with a game. Granted, that's some laziness on my part. But I usually get lost too easily in such places and don't end up doing what I went in for. It takes too long from a to b. I really am glad they got a party finder. At least this might be easier as time goes on. Thanks. Yours was one of the first I could find.

There are *always* people that love to teach and will spend hours showing you what to do and being patient with you while you learn. They are called Sherpas. And you'll learn that it's not as difficult as it seems as well :D

Just like any new player in any game with raids. D4 raids are much less complicated than lots of other games. It's much easier if you've grasped the standard mechanics of the game. Anything else is reading and looking at the rooms you're in

They got it just from Diablo Immortal. So i think it will be done solo later and when.... like a lot ppl hope... a kind of groupfinding tool will come, its even better... as long as they find a way to stop leechers. Blizz need group content / leaderboards so ppl will play longer than just till they finished the build they want. Devs cant keep up with content in a solo experience competing with grinders. But locking gear just behind that is bad. They tried it with warbands in DI and also rolled back a lot there. So let them try and hopefully fix it according to players feedback.

And this is coming from someone who lost his officer position in his D2 clan because he wanted the sherpas to teach master raiding to qualified players as well as normal raids, and none of his colleagues wanted to put in the effort. I get the concern. I hate gatekeeping and toxicity. So get serious, get in, get out.
