I found another option to play with, basicly just switch the staff -> wand & focus with BiS stats and use 40% damage to stun aspect in weapon, and use the control aspect in amulet, and for offhand use the more crit chance if cast 100 mana . the damage is lower but way way faster to clear and so much better in terms of survivalbility, even in NM TIER 60+

Also i have to say thanks for the advice for 2 frost nova aspect. Not only that u can freeze them twice in a row, i think the effective cooldown is even lower even with 30% extra cool down with “elemental attumnent”. When it lucky hits, in a lot of occasions single charge might not be in cd, so it is wasted, while 2 charges make it some room to proc more often, where i found in group of monster i can even use it 3-4 times. I barely can use twice before i equipped the aspect

Thanks for posting this build video. I think I may play some form of fire sorc for season 1. Hopefully some major changes are made for sorc so we don't have to run 4 defensives, or at least have more ability/build options.

Thank you for sharing the video. Very informative. I am trying to play on a PS5 console which has less control of meteor placement before TP and frost nova. (That I am aware of) Vuln wears off before meteor hits. Do you have any suggestions that could help me out? I love the playstyle and feel of the build and have picked up great gear. Just having a hard time pushing tiers because of the lack of application to stunned and frozen. Thanks again

Some questions: - In previous builds you run the Frost Bolt enchantment (I assume for chill and for getting Frostbite + chill nodes on paragon) - why did you drop it? - Why did you drop the Esu attack speed aspect? - Did you try out the small meteor aspect? You're not running it (I am) so I assume you think it's shit? For me, I can't really tell how much it is helping. Thinking of dropping it. - Are you aware that stuff like Imbiber is not 80% more damage but probably closer to 10% damage? Anything in the game that says +% instead of x% is bundled into a single additive damage bucket. Only Crit dmg, Vuln dmg, INT, Weapon dmg and the x% (like Aspect of Control) aspects are seperate multiplier. Additive damage IS a seperate multiplier, but by the time you fill out your paragon board you're going to be loaded up with hundreds, maybe close to 1000% total additive damage. You can see then how insignificant Imbiber is. I feel like the paragon board could be a lot better. - Defense, I see you taking quite a bit of damage at times. Have you explored ways to make DR better? - Mana, you talked about Static Surge. Don't you think Prodigy is kind of insignificant with the amount of mana this build spends? It feels like it could be a better damage aspect. Sacrificing 5 paragon points seems a smaller ask and downside than skipping out on another damage aspect (the stun one for example). On top of that: your meteor is at 37 mana. Could be a lot better with your suggested mana cost rolls. - Finally, going two-hand. I get it. It's great. Don't you miss the lower CD on Teleport/Shields/Frost Nova? Even with Frostblitz, it feels like you can Frost Nova more with 12 ranks and more crowd control duration/cooldown reduction. I suppose with Teleport enchant you can live with a slightly higher cooldown. Would love to hear your input. I went Meteor too but you're the only content creator that takes the build seriously and is actually pushing very high.

I can answer a few questions from personal experience. I run the tp enchantment because my boots let me tp 5 times in a row, probably close to 6. The mobility you get with this is crazy also you can make crazy plays like launch meteor to some location and right after that tp straight to the same location, you will pull enemies into that spot and restore mana instantly. I guess esu is just not worth it because you only have mana problems on single targets and if you have no mana than how do you benefit from faster casting. Also with 5 tp's you always stun enemy so most of the time you can't miss with meteor. And last point imbiber, put that glyph on and watch the raw dmg on meteor in skill tree and compare it without imbiber.

@@dasalki yeah I have done that with most glyphs and they all behave as they should. It’s additive damage and this has been thoroughly tested. I can’t see all his gear but from what I could gather in this vid and looking at his paragon nodes he’s at around low 800s of total additive damages so here the Imbiber is adding even less than 10%. Also the secondary on Imbiber is shit. Lots of other glyphs DO have a multiplicative secondary damage bonus. Btw I also think cooldown reduce on evade is better than charges. With a staff you have low cooldown duration and your evade teleport will have a high cooldown. Once you use all charges you’re waiting a very long time until they are all up again and the individual charges don’t go down very fast. With the cd reduce evade implicit as long as you’re attacking the evade teleport is almost always off cooldown and it can feel like having infinite teleport. Especially in high density dungeons this is great as you can teleport from pack to pack without stopping. Kinda like having Conduit up all the time.

@@robinwesterbeeke1498 everybody has his own playstyle, you wanna do lower dmg but have lower cds do that its also good, but in higher dungeons if you dont pop the big numbers and kill mobs under vulnerable you will have a problem. meteor atm should be a crit build, so you want to max base dmg, crit and vuln, with staff you do exactly that. Imbiber makes max dmg on meteor go from 35k to 45k so not really 10% bonus dmg as you imply its almost 30%

First, thanks for the feedback! frost bolt enchantment is another good option, my paragon was mess in the past so i didnt grab chill modifiers, but its hard to get them in the first place because in the Board where i use Imbiber glyph, you rly need to get that vulnerable damage bonuses on Rare nodes, teleport enchantment feels slightly better just because u always stun whenever u reposition due to your Chest unique. Esu is great for farming and speedruning, for pushing keys i feel like i could get something for more damage since as you go higher you really need any bonus number u can get. I have tried it and its not bad for sure, immobilises even more enemies and applies burning so easily which is rly nice, but since i went for the staff i lost 1 aspect and had to drop that one, it was a hard choice. For the imbiber yes im aware, but id say its a bit more in this case, its all about how you manage your multipliers. We are sorc, we dont get as much additive damage as barb or druid imo. It could definitely be a lot better on the mana cost part, unfortunately my time is limited so im playing as much as i can, hard to get a perfect drop :D In terms of damage, staff is just superior, specially because of the aspect that i run on it, my damage literally doubled, id suggest you try it, and yes i do miss the cooldown from offhand a lot, it just makes speedfarming soo enjoyable and faster, specially when using teleport enchantment and esu, im still trying to make a better farming build with a onehand so i can speedfarm those 60 keys as efficiently as possible. Like the build! Question, do you think the armor stacking aspect is good on this build? I only saw it go up to 100 when you used your ult, didnt go above 40 besides that. Seems like other defensive aspects might fit this high single hit damage build better?

Look at around 5 minutes 28 seconds. When it matters, it goes up. Armor is the best DR stacking affix until you reach 85%(the cap for armor), but you'll never reach it as you go up higher in NM dungeo tier, so does your DR go down. Or rather, you take more damage. Meaning you'd need more armor to make it to 85%. What this means is that as you go up in NM, this aspect becomes only more powerful as it's the only aspect that can give such a huge DR bonus. Also, it doesn't matter if it has low stacks on a few trash enemies. You can flame shield past them and ignore if they try to kill you from range. When he engages the elites, it is at 100, and that's when you want the most reduction. You can also play better by spamming meteor more around to have more enemies affected. Finally, the better density a dungeon has, the better this aspect is. If you're serious about pushing NM dungeons, you should salvage bad sigils with bad affixes and only run good ones.

I've been having a pretty good time running this build in NM50+. Curious what your thoughts are on picking up Static Surge and dropping Aspect of the Umbral for another damage aspect. It's been working pretty well for me so far, but I also lucked into a max rolled Prodigy's Aspect pretty early into WT4, so mana hasn't been a huge issue.

Hey bro, your guides are great, keep the meteor dream alive! I've been playing meteor since last week and got a few questions: 1. What do you think about the Adept glyph? You can get +128,7% damage to mastery skills if you put it on the first board. If you put the vulnarable dmg glyph on the second board, you get extra % there (49 dex total). 2. I've been running fire bolt enchant so the first meteor (usually the one with 40% extra crit chance from elementalist) gets the % from burning targets. What do you think about that? 3. I'm at lvl 96 and running static surge. With that I don't think I need the Umbral aspect (or maybe keep umbral and drop prodigy, but I gotta meteor first and then blink to stun and get mana back. With umbral gone, I can use the retribution aspect for an extra 40% dmg to stunned targets or something else. Did you gave up on static surge to free points for the 6th glyph? 4. What do you think about the esu's ferocity and shattered stars aspects? Maybe I should replace them, I don't think attack speed is that important for us. Thanks!

Yes i did, i dont know if Static surge is enough for me, maybe it works for you atm idk, but i feel like i need a bit more resource, you could potentialy use aspect for bonus damage on stunned targets i think its rly rly good aswell. 4. You can, esu is great on farming and speedruning, for pushing not so much i think, shattered stars is pretty good since it helps you apply vulnerable easily, but if you are using firebolt in enchantment u dont need it at all, also since i swapped to staff i had to drop one aspect, it was a hard choice but i dropped shattered stars.

Q about elementalist on necklace, i am at 43% crit chance, and with searing heat it will go up to 58% and i have 13% vs injured enemy, ( i was at 50% but elementalist brings me 57% so i reduced my crit chance) Should I reduce my crit chance or switch elementalist with conceited aspect?😊

I'm currently running fire bolt enchantment so teleport causes burn and dmg to bruning is applied to the first meteor.(with devouring blaze) I really like it

Firewall is doable but ice shard is the strongest check Kripps Firewall build video it's the best in my opinion (Kripparrian)

@@mephiixlol3628 firewall its good but so freakin slow in terms of damage compare to meteor build but firewall's survivalbility is so high, especially bcs the lifesteal skill + temerity. But tbh in high tier NM i dont think firewall can survive , basicly u just gettin 1 hit by every ranged all the time, dont have any time for lifesteal for barrier

This looks so fun and strong but, sometime seems you drop 4,5 meteor on an enemy and he s still alive. Depends a lot on lucky numbers, right?

lucky numbers are kinda on crit only, but even that is covered when you throw meteors out when above 100 mana. its all about multipliers, if you can make enemies vulnerable my damage goes to like 3-4M per hit, if you stun them 5-6, if you immobilize and burn them, its 9M, all comes down how many things you can apply on your enemies so your Bonus modifiers from gear can do the work, meteor on its own doesnt do any damage, thats how every build works not just this one. hope this helps :D

i really dont think we need to use umbral aspect bcz we have inferno too , personally i replace that aspect with aspect that give 50% crit damage with meteor wihle enemies are healty , and im using shartered stars aspect in my gloves. wdyt? whic one gives more damage? shattered stars or 25% more dmg while using barrier

both are quite good in my opinion, iv recently heard 25% more dmg to barriers is bugged so i need to test it, might be the case. 50% crit dmg to meteor is also rly good, specially if u have Max roll on it, if you feel u are good on mana, go for it

some meteor just vanish like they dont even hit targets sometimes - its really lucky hit based and single target dps is annoying sometimes your just idle i like its potential but it feels not viable in certain situations

its not lucky hit based, it seems like they dont do dmg because they dont, its all about multipliers, if you dont apply vuln dmg, stun or immobilise on a target, you dont do dmg, same as any build in d4

love the visuals of this build, props to you for making something else than ice sorc work. But meteor feels pretty bad to play on controlloer, it has a mind on it's own. So not a good console build I think sadly at least not for harder nightmare dungeons. I'll let pc player keep this one.

This is a skill issue. I play primarily on PS5 and I even PvP with my meteor build. You just have to get used to the difference between controller and kb+m.

Pretty weird to have meteor not be good at single target damage. That was the whole point of the skill in D3.

​@@mephiixlol3628that's just sorc in a nutshell. They need to nerf damage from staggers and buff it outside. Builds that don't build stagger well do terrible tbh. Aspect of control is too much of Sorc's damage, so it seems like Sorc's damage is balanced around that -- since Sorc's have like no Crit damage nodes and is pumped all into damage against CC and vulnerable.
