Fire all the way. I just like to watch things burning down. Creating a carpet of flames on the floor, while 8 Hydra Heads shoot from the Side and a Hailstorm of Meteors falls from the Sky is just beautiful. But I need a third Enchantment Slot to make the build really pop, because then I can add Teleport to the Firewall and Meteor Enchantments and with the Raiment of the Infinite zoom through Dungeons while also burning things to the ground. It would be simply Glorious!

Btw, although protection works on enhanced teleport, prodigy does not. Also, if youre trying to play Meteor earlier, I recommend you take Static Surge 3rd instead of 4th to help with mana issues early on. If you don't have Raiment of the Infinite chest, use the Arc Lash enchantment, that stuns when a cooldown is used. Let's you proc Static Surge on mobs with all your defensives. Another nice point of contention is using the aspect of shared misery, where lucky hits can spread CC. I really wouldn't recommend going past 50 lucky hit. Anything past that takes too many slots on your stats and aspects. Also, for the builds that use Burning Instinct board, that board has the highest dex value socket for all sorc boards. So put you're most valuable dex glyph there, so depending on you're builds the recommended glyphs are exploit, control, destruction, and adept.

Level 80, doing level 50 Nightmare Dungeons is plenty past " story mode " Not to mention this build works at level 100, still able to do 120+ Nightmare dungeons. Now it might not be able to handle 150 Nightmare dungeons without some sort of buffs but 99% of people watching this video will never get to that point anyway.

This build is capable of doing fairly high Nightmare dungeons if you are willing to work at it. I've seen people do Nightmare 80 with Meteor, which is higher than 99% of the people watching this video will even attempt even though there are better builds that can do higher. But, with a few placed buffs this build should be more than viable if someone works at it.

you can just go straight to the searng heat board, +fire damage and +damage to burning enemies is in the same damage bucket. They add the same amount. with that in mind, and for this build especially you could drop burning instinct completely and grab the enchantment board for better +non-physical nodes and possible legendary node.

At 11:18 you mention the Meteorites from Shattered Stars will immobilize enemies, however, only the Meteor immobilizes enemies unless you also use the Aspect of Armageddon, which adds Meteorites to your Inferno and gives Meteorites an immobilize. Things that state they affect Meteor don't affect Meteorites, and vice versa. That said, the Shattered Stars does cause burn, which allows for things outside of the Meteor ring to be primed for the first tier of Devouring Blaze, which is still important.

I accidentally made this build better, so much I had to share. I have a boot that gave me 3 extra charge of evade, when using teleport as enchantment, it became 4 charge of teleport. You can literally do 5 teleport, wait.... after the 5th teleport, your spell teleport cooldown is finished, so that's 6 teleport, but wait..... once the 6th teleport is cast, your cooldown for evade finishes, so that is 7 damn teleport at your disposal...... I tell you, this is pure gold.... thank you Josh for this beautiful monstrosity

I've been playing a similar build for group farming, i just maxed out fireball (-1 in frost nova and all the passives in T2 and +4 on gloves) and put the fireball passive instead of the teleport one. triggers fireball on all party kills which can start your meteor rain on their splitfarm aswell to boost the overall speed leveling with less geared players.

Love the guide. Hardest part as a Xbox player is getting meteors to land where you want, teleport to go where you want, and when you use teleport enchantment.... you guessed it, dodging to teleport where you want. Makes it hard to get that perfect pile on with casting Meteor > Dodge aka Teleport> Frost nova.

Make sure Meteor is on your LEFT CLICK or you will inevitably cast it on the ground where it can't get those lucky hits. Unless you changed your control setup, it should only cast when you click enemies (unless you hold shift, which is like having it on any other slot). If it isn't cast ON an enemy, it can't lucky hit.

you could put Frost Bolt in the second enchantment slot to get chill. Then you get the damage bonus from hoarfrost passive and control glyph plus perma cc effect. Basically doing the same thing that we do with burning from fire bolt enchantment with other builds - thou not as powerfull ^^

@@Der-Sensenmann I don't know about that. Thing is if the game isn't fun, people will stop playing, and if people stop playing, they won't buy skins or battle passes. Aka it's in their best interest to keep things fun. But what I feel like is more of an indication or explenation why things are the way they are, is that they focus very strongly on internal statistics that drive game development. It's been like this for years. Because numbers will tell you how to keep people engaged. How to keep people hooked. They don't tell you how to keep people happy though. And being hooked on a game and happy with how it is (at any specific stage), are two very different things. Things that might be connected, but not in a causational way. And for Blizzard it's more important to keep people engaged than happy, that's why they use system that drive long term engagement and not systems that necessarily make the game better and more fun to play. Also they might have chosen this for balance purposes. But then again other classes like Necro have also tree choices in the book of the dead, which seem similarly as powerfull as Enchantment Slots.

Most of the money comes from pre-orders and game purchases and not from a skin shop, the shop is just bonus money. You see it again and again in world of warcraft when new addons are released , the things that make the game really smooth are usually only brought up shortly before the end of an addon in order to keep the number of players stable and to give players an incentive to continue playing. You could have fun right from the start if you weren't so intent on making sure that no player is OP and Blizz doesn't have any fodder to keep player numbers up when all of a sudden the majority of players drop out of the game.

@@Der-Sensenmann Especially in WoW, your argument doesn't work. Because one of their major income sources from WoW are the Subs. And they want to keep the subs going at all cost for as long as possible. So keeping players engaged to play for more than just a little while is their priority number one. Sure the sales from an expansion are obviously a massive source of income too but paying for 3-4 months of a sub makes them the same ammount of money and they want to keep players preferably for the whole two year life cycle of an expansion. To think that they don't want to allow us to have fun is delusional. They are a Company that first and formost wants to make money and if the game isn't intrinsically fun people won't play it. And if they don't play it, they won't pay for subs, they won't buy skins, they won't buy the next expansion. Any malicios intend you project into the devs or blizzard as a company beyond the goal to make money is frankly stupid. If you're not having fun playing their game is because you're burned out from all the psychological methods they use to keep people hooked. And NOT because Blizzard doesn't want you to have fun. They don't gain anything by you not having fun. They do gain something by you having fun or at least being hooked to the game though. Next time when you want to accuse somebody of malicous intent, think if stupidity or greed aren't a more likely answer to the question why they do the things they do. Or maybe you're just out of touch with their target audience. Maybe the game isn't for you anymore. Maybe your idea of fun has strayed too far from what the average paying customer of WoW or Diablo conciders fun.

I tried this build yesterday on my level 84 sorc. Could barely kill anything in a t34 nm dungeon. I don't know if its because none of my glyphs for it were leveled up or my amulet wasn't really ideal, but I was severely disappointed after getting excited about it watching this video. Oh well. Need to check the tooltip but if meteor procs on any hit not just fire couldn't you use a ice hybrid build with blizzard and its spikes affix to nonstop proc meteor and keep them frozen in place while still getting chained meteor from its affix while dipping into the paragon that gives you shields on killing frozen targets and extra damage to chilled and frozen targets

You would have to sacrifice a defensive or the ultimate to be able to do that, and maybe with enough paragon points/the perfect build it could work but it would be very hard to test and you'd have to spread your points pretty thin across a lot of passives. Very interesting idea though and the aesthetic of fire and ice raining down on everything would be badass

@@sykora9526 I have already stopped using all defense moves I got rid of ice armor a while ago it is irrelevant with the freeze kills paragon board I also got termenty recently but you could keep it and just use blizzard instead of meteor directly just have it leveled for the enchantment so you could have the boss knocking of blizzard going I would also switch out the teleport enchantment for fireball or ice shard since you will still have alot a freezing just put points into shard instead of the mana up passive and currently useless resistance buff

I started a meteor build on day 1 and it has been really fun. I built it a bit differently though, but it was really easy to level. Took 2 hours to go from lvl 99 to 100.

I personally don't like the three curses aspect because while it gives a nice incial boost to the damage of meteor, it's useless once the target drops below 80% health. Aka bosses and high level elites that don't get one tapped. I'd rather put in something like armageddon for the ultimate meteoric rain (pun intended).

Side note: If you can squish it into your gear, the Armageddon aspect stacks with the shattered star to create burning, immobilizing meteorites on both your meteor and inferno. Edit: Following the same rule as the "your ice spikes" aspects.

This is incorrect, Armageddon aspect does not give immobilize to your meteors and meteorites, it only gives it on your meteorites that fall during inferno ONLY. Edit: I am incorrect, the armageddon aspect does give immobilize to meteorites outside of the inferno ultimate, it just doesn't give immobilize to the big meteor. The wording difference between "meteor" and "meteorites" is key here.

Either the bandits outside Ked Bardu are broken, or the meteorites that fall from shattered star aspect do indeed inherit the immobilize from armageddon. In my current setup I have a single point in meteor, and upgraded to fall 30% faster. Armageddon on gloves, and shattered star on ring.

The wording confused me apparently, it's a whole new sentence saying the meteorites immobilize. I also want to note that the big meteor no longer immobilizes, only the small ones do. So you'd have to choose with a slower meteor/meteorites with the big one not immobilizing, or a faster fall with just the big one not immobilizing.

They see this video build around it and at the end sit there quit diablo cause they cant get any further with a 120k meteor, instead having fun with Iceshards who does 500k each (5x) at least. And even that is under performing as hell right now. Just try a tier 60 Dungeon on sorc, you either get oneshotted or cant kill any mobs cause of no damage. Meanwhile Barb and Druid running tier 100. Thats the state of affairs we in right now. So better make it clear on a guide at the begin that this is going to be nonviable for late content and just for fun. But he don't he promotes it as a good skill build and that is why its click build on the channel. No respect for such clowns

Have you tried aspect of armageddon? Makes your meteors immobilize for 3 seconds, so you can then do mage's meteor to have them fall faster

Worth mentioning max charge to evade boots gives you like 4 charges of evade teleport, on top of the normal one you’ll have effectively 5 teleports. Keep in mind these evade teleports proc everything a standard teleport cast does as well (except unstoppable for some reason). I’ll let you all work out the implications of that.

Coming out of the road the boots that give you up to a 1.1% cool down after you fully upgrade them. For every attack You didn't even have ebay unlimited because the meteorite is procs as an attack. Running garall I have to do is shoot once and I have a evade because of the multiple hits

So speaking of the lucky hit to drop Meteor, how about we combine the ball lightning build with Meteor. For enchantments run Meteor and chain lightning. Ball lightning will tick lucky chance so much that meteors will pour from the sky. You have to wait for the meteors to hit for the burning, but it should happen enough that you will have it up most of the time.

This is pretty close to the build I used before switching to Shards/ Blizzard. It will get just as hard stuck as every other Sorc build. Fire is more surviviable but slower still. Long story short meteor doesn't hit any harder than Shards really.

I set up this build on my 72 sorc. It works great until an enemy goes Unstoppable, then I lose the 200% to stunned, 60% to cc, etc, and my dmg turns into a joke. How do you avoid making enemies unstoppable?

So at 16:10 you say 50% lucky hit, then up to 80% with barrier. They roll independently and not additively from what the tool bar says. So I think that means you get two rolls, a 50% then a 30% to see if you trigger lucky hit, and NOT 80%.

I need a guide for switching builds. I have loads of aspects but can't find any items with stats as good as the ones I have. How do you get so many different armor sets with perfect stats?

I wanted to revisit this even tho as much content that comes out for Diablo this build may not be the best but just like with blizzards ice spikes getting the increased radius from the aspect for deep freeze. So would the aspect that makes meteorites immobilize on inferno also have that effect that meteorites from meteor? The mana based skill could immobilize a bigger area to take advantage of devouring blaze and you could take the meteor 30% faster fall along with the glyph making mastery skills gain 20% increased area. Just a thought i havent had time to play with.

Since you’re using prodigy’s aspect, might want to queue up a couple of meteor casts before popping all your cooldown abilities. Otherwise you’re throwing away the resource that would be gained

Guys, what is reducing cooldown of all skills drasticaly? It seems everytime he hits something, some seconds are reduced from all skills, what is that??

So I know from the guy who is making all these builds. In your opinion, what is the best end game build you have made so far? I don't want to waste perfect aspects on good gear if its not end game enough.

N00b question but does it matter which item an aspect is on or do you just want to ensure all of the aspects are assigned without worrying about matching X to the wand, Y to the Helm, etc?

It matters a little. Some slots have different effectiveness for aspects. Amulet is more effective than anything but 2h, which he doesn't use. Other than that, it's down to what aspects can go in what slot as the only real limitation. (This is as I understand it and from memory, could be that I'm missing something)

I had built a similar build at lvl 50. I put 3 curses on a 2 hander for 100% crit dmg then put elementalist on the amulet for 60% crit when over 100 mana. It hit hard and could clear but i didnt have enough mana regen. When inferno was up it was amazing but it struggled with mana at the lower level. So i used ice blades to bring inferno back up quicker. Want to go back to it once i get higher lvl and have enough mana to sustain it. I loved meteor in d3 and want it to be great again.

does this do well against unstoppable / teleporting elites? My firewall or any build can handle a group of normal mobs with ease, it's those elites / ranges that are super annoying.

Great build nice to see some meteor love as ive been running it since day one. Im running a similar build but use frostburn instead of frost nova and raiment, so now i freeze everthing with meteors reminds me of d3 and the different elements on meteor!!!

Arc lash with a few paragon tweaks hits harder imo.. I still enjoy arc lash though while people are moving on because of the melee play style though so idk. I can do t50 exactly the same way pretty much and I’m at lvl 75.

I use different elements in my build. Ark lash, meteor, firewall, ice shield, Frost Nova, and Inferno. Idk what to call this build, but everything seems to be working so far. The only problem I have is building my paragon borad. 😅 I was hoping this would help me understand what to do, but now I'm even more confused. Pls send help.😅

the meteorites from the aspect shouldn't immobilize without the other aspect for inferno. that's the one that adds immobilize to meteorites.

Ive tried every single sorc build you put out but none of them just work as good as inf blizzard sorc. Maybe its the gear rolls, maybe its me, but that build is the one i can consistently clear dungeons with

Thanks for a different build but until they fix a variety of issues holding Sorc back I will be on hold for an update because higher progression is just not viable on any build right now.

If you’re running lucky hit gear anyway, Fist of Fate is a viable choice. I run it with my conduit sorc, and the chance to immobilize gets silly.
