Thanks wudi I love speed builds and I was looking for something fast that can still do T4, PIT 100, and Boss carries. OP Volley seems over the top I don't really need to be able to do PIT 150 and it looks slower. Evade eagle is getting nerfed which might make your gorilla build the best speed variation for T4?

I've been running something like this, but with Payback + the aspect that makes it hit in a line and adds thorns, and Banished Lord's for perma overpower. I'm also going full monke with loyalist mantle (mostly for flavor, but adds a ton of survivability). Only a couple ancestrals masterworked to 4, paragon lvl 100 and far from optimized, but I'm blasting through T3

I'm on the fence on going all in on this build. Tried base gorilla while leveling and think it's very fun to knock down enemies and smash them while being tanky. But they just snipped evade build (good), and they are sure to do something about the resolve and barrier stacking paragon combined with banished lord. I'm not sure I want to sign up for the tempering pain just to get dumped on by the nerf bat.

A majority of the gear, if not all, is interchangeable with this build. There will be maybe an aspect change and a few paragon changes, but it's an easy swap.

I was running with a Touch of Death build in T2, decided to check if I had enough pieces I could somehow mash into this build just to try it out, immediately went from struggling to clear Pit Tier 55 to blasting through it and falling just short of finishing Pit Tier 65. Really great build, can't wait to farm out more fitting pieces and refine it.

If you got 275+ max resolve, quill will do more damage with Banish Lord. Otherwise this does more damage.

Yes, several 'bugs' that all trillion damage builds rely on: block chance over 100% for damage bonus calculation (Hence the max resolve temper everywhere). And also the viscuous shield glyph that is seriously overtuned

I've been doing a variant of this from the the start - using the crushing hand hits 10x aspect along with perma ravager and getting attackspeed along with the crit scaling. pretty good but im only on pit 75 with my gear. Using the unique pants for dmg buff and reduction since always unstoppable Tried the rod and ring combo but didnt like it. Maybe if i get a good rolled midnight sun ill try swap it in but rod wont work since ravager would fall off.

So why if you take off the ring of midnight sun and counter attack, then add counter attack back on does dodge not change in the character sheet? vice versa, if you leave counter attack off and just add the ring on you go up slightly (assuming its % of what dodge I already have as it only goes up .8% or so) and with both on its still sits where it would be with just the ring....confused

I exactly have this situation and made the switch yesterday (from TOD to Crushing Hand) and I must say Crushing hand is fun and more fluid/smooth to play than TOD. For TOD (atleast for me), I have to wait for the huge damage from Swarm to clear/kill. This build pretty much clear things in a few seconds. For your question, TOD seems to do more damage for me. I did not have the best items for both build but my TOD was doing like 500m+ damage and Crushing Hand was around 200m+. Maybe because my items are not optimized yet. I just changed to whatever I have. But on in all, Crushing Hand is smoother in terms of clearing things.

@@llChubll Yup. I just switched from my bootleg TOD build to this and it does not hit as hard but feels better because you don't wait for that explosion. I'm running perhaps two ancestral's at the moment so I have a long way to go.

Use Soar with the vortex inscription and the soar boots and you'll be mobile but also constantly gathering up groups as you land and 1-shotting or 2-shotting them easily which also keeps the mobs from running away when you scourge.

@droid5785 the ring gives me the passive effect. And soar damage with vortex helps keeps everything together. Plus soar damage with the boots is pretty high, generally 1-2 shots trash groups with it alone. Keep in mind I'm only t1 & t2 though.

Yours is how it will look in game. You spend 5% for 5 offering, which is 100 offering per cast basically. Once both are socketed, it is just showing you the total amount needed to activate the rune. If you were to swap que with something that requires 500 offering, it would tell you that you need to spend 500% max resource to trigger it.

@michaelfurlough6988 100% sure. The guides only show the base effect of the runes. When you use them in game, it tells you the total offering required once two runes are paired. If the rune in this case required 500 offering to use, in game it would say 500%.

I am finding this build more fun than Quill but the boss damage is significant, I think its because Quill you can get more to hit the single target. But.. maybe its worthwhile for the playstyle being a little more enjoyable.

Use this as a guide but use rake. I'm doing a jaguar build and it's been great so far. Using this guides paragon board before I get all my points and see if I can come up with some improvements. Exploit instead of Outmatch will allow you to apply vulnerable and not use it on ring (also no other useful option there on this build boards for rake so maybe temporary). Main spirit gorilla, jaguar secondary. Skills are rake, hunter, ravager, counterattack, armored hide and I keep switching the last one for fun between claw, scourge, stomp. Undecided on final choice.

Yes but I don't want a bugged build because after them nuking the evade build I don't want to risk investing into another. I don't know how ya'll are doing so much damage when I have the glyph levels and the gear nearly there. I tried Quill and it wasn't doing any damage and I have no idea why. A lot of the builds want to use the broken barrier interaction or resolve interactions. I tried rockcrusher thorns and it was pretty slow, especially for how squishy it is (which doesn't make sense). Why do I have 4k life, max fort and barrier and max armor and res and i am still get nuked on torment THREE. And the game crashing all the time just makes figuring this stuff out all the more frustrating.

Very well said, I’ve only just started playing Diablo so I enjoyed the evade build a lot. After hearing the news on nerfs, I’m unsure where I should focus my energy because nothing else seems to do well. I feel like Blizzard forget that this is a game.
