New storyline and NPC focused on the 'Malignant' curse. New malignant enemies that are more powerful elites. Killing them lets you start an encounter that draws in more of them. Then you get a special gem. 32 new special gems that fit into specific colored sockets in jeweler slots. Add new 'legendary' powers, somewhat like Legendary gems from D3. Some targeted farming for gems through this special zone called Malignant Tunnel. There are new bosses added to the game. New legendary aspects and uniques, added to both eternal and seasonal worlds. Season journey which will have different rewards for completing quests (like Diablo 3), including exclusive aspects. Free battle pass track includes some basic cosmetics, and also Ashes that can be used in a new progression system to improve XP gain, elixir duration etc. for all seasonal characters. Paid battle pass only has cosmetics.
