have you tried going full crit damage for the gushing wounds?? you said it's a multiplier but from the wording i understand that the multiplier is for the bleeding amount not for the damage over time or bleeding over time affixes. Now, lets say you have insane crit damage, the damage calculation for rend is 105% x (damage), that (damage) is the damage you deal with your skill, which means if you deal high crit damage with rend it will also increase the bleeding amount which is also increased by this "increased by 100%(+) of your critical strike damage bonus". In short, crit damage "double dips" while damage over time only works for the 70(x) after other calculations. This is obviusly all in my mind theoretically, i don't have the gear to test it so i was wondering if you already did or if you can give it a test. Finally, thank you for all your guides and testing glad there is still people loyal to the mighty barbarian.

I haven't tried full crit. You are kind of correct with your thinking. The bleeds (damage over time) can't crit or overpower like other skills, this is why the bleed numbers are always white. To "make" bleed crit they are adding it to your gushing wounds which doesn't really make it double dip, but kind of does... I hope that makes sense. I like your thinking though! I'll try going full crit and see how it works, in theory it should be less damage as the crit is addition and the bleed is multiplicative.

which glyphs should i prioritize leveling first? also why challenger instead of something like bloodfeeder? wouldn't blood feeder give us more damage since everything is bleeding?

If your critical strike chance is low take bloodfeeder to start, but challenger is better for bosses and elites. Trash mobs are easy to kill and we don't need more damage to kill them. Challenger and Ire would be the first 2 to prioritize.

currently lvl 60 [17] with a rend / rupture build but struggling to get rid of flay for steel chains, i just can’t seem to get the ball rolling and im thinking about switching to something else

I'm stuck at 49 with both my druids. One can beat it but not in time, the other dies to much.

Farm t2 more to get more pieces, check your tempering and masterworking and you should see improved results. Also check your build.

It is, but make sure you have close to 100% chance for Rend to hit twice!

why not use the new mythic polearm it seems built for rend builds? or maybe even Ancients oath to pull in more enemies and for the big cooldown reduction.

I've been using this polearm with a flay/rupture build at pit 70. Melts enemies so much faster. Seeing execute pop up on elites and bosses is just beautiful. Might be time to throw some earthquakes into the mix to get that last little bump up.
