Most normal gamers are not pushing high level pit, also torment 4 isn't really a end game either more so just to push builds, so in away all classes are viable unless your pushing 120+ pits and trust me not everyone is doing that lol. High level pits mainly just for bragging rights....

I started this season like everyone else with a spiritborn (touch of death) build and it turned into mashing every button on my controller and not very exciting or challenging. Necro has always been my favorite class and i played a few last season while on the hunt for resplendent sparks. Shadow Wave was by far my favorite so i decided to try again this season and even at a low level with no mythics and a 1/16 fastblood, it's still been able to hold it's own and the challenge to time everything and group things together to maximize damage has been a pleasure. Currently, until i get a shako, I've been using the crown of Lucian and just casting decrepify to max out the damage since blood wave doesn't use resources.

After 2hours of spiritborn I changed back to sorc and my wife stopped playing .. mainly because it was unplayable on console (the Game itself) It is like you say, spiritborn is for the challenged short hair persons

@@enricofriske1696 my wife plays with me as well on console and it's frustrating how many bugs there are with couch co-op. From not knowing how many burning aether we have 70% of the time, 30% of the time not even being able to complete the hoards because it didn't recognize the final kill, and now not even being able to do the new citadel, they really don't care at Blizzard. It's still our go to game but definitely frustrating.

@@TheOneAndOnlyDerp I'm following his but using crown of Lucian and rakonath's wake for the cool down. And fast blood on the amulet. Not as much damage as he is putting out but just cleared a 60 with only one glyph above 15. Key is using decrepify to proc the crown and then keeping essence up with the blood orb granting essence then alternating between wave and decrepify with a blight and tendrils thrown in when you need to ramp up the damage more. T3 is not bad. Needs more work before I take it to T4.

When you do play Eternal and had good Gear like 12/12 MW Shako und GF, you can unlock T4 - I did it with only new pants to enhance Soulrift Duration. With CDR on the Reapers and from Shako, you can almost have Soulrift active infinite. Did not thought, that T65 would be possible when they said it is going to be harder vs PTR. Luckily Minions and now also the Mythics got buffs (for me a whooping +77% HP, Barrier and fortify!) , although I have to say, the endgame base damage without Mendeln procs need to be much higher and things need to be fixed for Mendeln. Procs every 6th Hit instead of Attacks and Reinforcement or Druid Wolves resetting the 6th Attack counter. As far as I know, YT Channel Jerycho made the highest Pit Clear with T97 having Golem procs of up to 5-8+ B and Mages for hundreds of M. I would say, thorns minions for leveling (if you have legend temper and proper aspects for the season already), shadow blood wave once 60 to farm into bone spirit for higher pits.

Some more information from my experience: spiritwave builds are very controller unfriendly. If your game decides to aim at enemies next to the wall, then your waves will be cut short, you probably won't get the cooldown back. It's almost the same shenanigans with Fireball Sorc.

Are you struggling with essence issues at all? Just switched over to this build and I'm having that issue. It's good when there are hordes of mobs in front of me, but if they are too dispersed I end up having to wait until for the cool down on the ultimate.

i've found that when your attack speed gets to be very high, you have to throttle back the attacks on single and small groups or you run dry

​​@@Christian-q5e if you don't have perfected gear, with high Ultimate cool down and Soulrift duration, that may happen. Especially if you're using the Feast aspect. So for a new guy, you can put Rathma's chosen aspect on the focus, then use Fastblood on ring. Also pick 3 points in Grim harvest in the skill tree. Get the points from something not so useful, like Reaper's pursuit. That should fix your essence problems for the start, until you work your way up to the final Build form as shown in the guide. PS: If you still have resource issues, maybe use a different runeword in one of the slots, like TamLum for res generation. And finally for less res spending, you can replace the Rathma's chosen aspect with something like Cadaverous. After that, work towards perfecting the build according to the guide.

I don't think it's mandatory but highly recommend you don't use the build before getting it because it'll feel pretty slow. Shako is there mainly for the extra cooldown to ensure you can spam those bloodwaves as quick as possible

Just switched to blood surge, still need starless and perdition but it works fine with starlight/blood potent and concussive. Dropped feast until the mana issue is resolved.

I'm playing Spirit Wave and it's very good for bosses, with Blood Wave you have to do the playstyle of cast Blood Wave, run around and pick up blood orbs, cast again, repeat, whereas Spirit Wave automatically picks up all the blood orbs for insane healing and cdr while standing still. Ultimately a playstyle choice which you prefer

Additive damage is low value, the extra to magic nodes is low prio. Once you get everything else you can start to grab those nodes

Throwing in my comment to show support for non buggy-SB content. However, my issue is that none of these builds interest me. Necro needs more skills. Bone armor, another usable curse (one that procs and or consumes vulnerability), an Enigma type of skill that repositions minions, a castable core skill that counts as summoning (think PoE's flaming skulls), etc. I played Surge last season, and it was a one button build that was so boring. Blood mist is the sole utility skill for blood builds. They should add Hemomancy from Season 2 back in as a macabre skill, and add some vulnerability or CC to the enhanced skill nodes. Bone spirit feels so clunky to play, maybe its a controller thing, but it just doesn't click for me. I want to spam it like i did in D2, but if it hasn't hit anything, the cooldown doesn't reset so I'm clicking away and nothing is happening

great ideas, a Convocation-type skill to pull minions to you especially inside suppressor shields is definitely needed. I don't know why they have such a hard-on for bone spirit, I think for 3 seasons straight they've been buffing it even as it's the strongest skill. I want Bombardier Necro back from season 3, Bone Spear + Corpse Explosion was so fun

I tried blood surge, power leveled a necro to 60 (with 220 paragon) but it was meh. I am guessing I did not have the rotation down right. Wasn't really clearing anything because was constantly OOM. It's got to be a skill rotation thing, right?

I tried Blood Surge after maining it last season, mana is a huge problem without Starlight aspect. Soulrift only fixes it in high pits and hordes basically, Ruse explains in another video but in speeds you lose the Great Feast aspect to get rid of mana drain

I am doing a sever build with the new aspect and the soulrift ultimate. A mix between them. Using the unique helmet for soulrift and the unique boots to sever. Preety good and fun. My goal is to have 100% CDR on ultimate.

No build should be rated even A tier if they can't clear 100 comfortably. The way glyphs are designed, every class and build (somewhat optimised) should be able to do 100s. Pushing beyond 105 should require 'specializations'. S tier builds should be the ones pushing top 10% of pits, which is no class but spiritborn atm. Content creators need to stop pushing this dumb rhetoric

I made the switch over to Blood wave and I am a little disappointed. The CD on bloodwave is too long without Harlequin. I got it down to 30 seconds, but I still found myself having to hunt down blood orbs to make sure I dont throw off the rotation. It is fun but the minion build was better.

Can someone help me understand how Golems factor into his minion build, given the raise Golem skill isn't on his skill bar nor in his skill tree, and we have golem mastery maxed and an aspect dedicated to Golem's equipped. I was told if no skill was equipped in your bar for Golem, they do no exist or contribute in any way... that you would have to assign Raise Skeleton *and* Raise Golem to your skill bar. Is that not the case?
