My cousin bought the game for me when I was 8. I was too scared to play it back then. Diablo 1 is a timeless masterpiece. The artwork and voice acting still put many modern games to shame.

At the time it just looked awesome, i never noticed the obvious repetition of graphical objects eg in the rocks in the town. I bought Windows 95 just to play this game. It still sounds beautiful though.

Awesome. Now, about Diablo 5... Bring back the simple premise, story, overall frame & setting. have the player descend into hell through a single dungeon. Ditch the Barbarian, bring back the Warrior. Keep evolving the combat. Make it scary. Make it beefy. No pun intended. gg

Man, I wish that there was a QoL mod for Diablo I, so that you can run, and so your baggage is unlimited, and that you pick it up when you step over it. Would make the game so much more enjoyable and less of a chore.

It's only a hack in the original diablo. This is Diablo Hellfire, the unofficial expansion of the game, which actually made Apocalypse and Nova into books.

@@seanclements6206 Technically staves of apocalypse (with very limited charges, so bountiful or plentiful as a prefix was great) were legit in Diablo 1, but were an absolute bitch to find. And if you didn't have them, good luck with triple immunes on hell difficulty... stone curse + golem = slo-o-o-o-o-ow. And painful. On the plus side, Diablo apocalypse was more powerful. In Hellfire, to compensate for apoc being much more common (the book is a quest item from Na-Krul), not only did they nerf the damage somewhat, but you also need line of sight. You can no longer just blast it over the walls. It's still pretty useful against triple-immunes, though, and I don't feel bad about doing it since triple-immunes are a game design mistake that should've never been a thing in the first place.

You can tell he isn't cheating because he takes waaay too much damage from every attack. Mana Shield protects his health and his character's armor isn't even at the final stage.

@@souldevourer311 You seem unaware of the only official D1 expansion... Hellfire. In Hellfire, you can get a book of apoc by killing Na-Krul... among other things. It's a bit different that way.
