Just to clarify at 26:50, Hinata doesn't have an equivalent to Raphael, the voice that announces the acquisition of her skill is an integral part of this world called Words of the World which announces notable events that happen in the world, like when someone becomes a demon lord, or to inform individuals they've acquired a new skill. Great Sage/Raphael just copies this voice to be able to talk to Rimuru, no one else has a personal assistant AI like he does.

34:44 Yeah, ya'll got a lot mixed up, but it is gairly reasonable. TenSura is a mega complex story. Luminus is a vampire, which could be called a demon, I suppose. Demon Lord- title of power proven through inate skills, violence, economic or political power, inheritance(if you kill a Demon Lord, you get the title), etc. True Demon Lord- one who has evolved into a new race, confirming the appropriate consuming of the necessary spiritual/life energy(hence the ±10,000 souls sacrifice), becoming a heightened being which is super damned rare in that world. Granbell was the redhead dude, by possession, so his astral body was forced back once Nicholaus destroyed that Luminary, Gran the Priest of the Sun(not The Sunday Priest, like the stupid subs name him). Luminus just has heterochromia, a genetic rarity where someone just has two different coloured eyes.

This. This is the comment that explains everything the anime does a poor job of explaining. Also, a Daemon (which is still pronounced demon) Lord is a change the anime decided to make. Diablo, at this point is a Demon Peer which is a high ranking demon (higher than an Arch Demon) based on his experience and evolution due to being named by Rimuru. Demon Peers are basically the same level, if not stronger than most demon lords in title only. True Demon Lords, are a different story entirely.

It shouldn't have been a surprise for Rimuru that Demons Lords can use holy magic. Well technically, Shuna and Adalman arent Demon Lords but they're just the same as Luminus who is on the Monster category. Shuna explained to Adalman that miracles answers to those who believes and wish for them, hence her being able to use holy magic/divine miracle. Besides if I'm not mistaken, the Secret Art: Spirit Resurrection which Rimuru used to revive Shion and the other's could be categorized as holy spell.

Just because Shuana knows something. Don't automatically assume that Rimiru knows it. Rimiru is constantly suprised by things his subordinates do. Raphael would know but he loves keeping things from Rimiru.

26:56 that's not Raphael... those are Words of The World... the same words that gave voice even before The Great Sage was 'born'. also when Rimuru evolved into demon lord it was Words of The World that notified all rimuru's subjects will also evolved ... its confusing because in the anime the voice of great sage/raphael and words of the world sound the same

Fyi, the Voice that Hinata heard when she gained her skills is not raphael, its "The voice of the World", which is kinda like the world admin, and kinda occasionally interacts with people and monster in the world. Raphael kinda takes over that role for Rimuru and friends but its more of an announcer whereas "voice of the world" states things that are occuring/occured, like gaining a skill, etc.

I don't know why the anime skips a semi important piece of dialogue. The grudge between Luminous and Veldora goes back to ancient times. Since Rimuru wants a peace treaty with Luminous he makes a deal with her. She gets to kick his ass and Veldora won't resist if she agrees to bury their hatchet.

34:45 Diablo is a "Demon Peer." The subtitles saying "Daemon Lord" is really, really insufferable, confusing nearly every anime-only in existence. A Demon Peer is a nigh unheard of evolution of demons, meaning if Diablo had wanted, after Rimiru named him, Diablo would not have needed to do much to become a True Demon Lord. Though, Diablo would hate that, if he couldn't be beside Slimy Boi to see what he turns that world into.

Because Daemon Lord is how it appears in the Japanese text. The term Demon Peer only came when it was translated in the English translation of the light novel. When you read it in Japanese, it was a Daemon Lord. They follow the JP light novel in terms of terminologies. You can even see it in the machine translated copies of fan translators. Only in the proper light novel EN does the term "Demon Peer" appear.

For those who desire conflict, dramas, fights, and conclusions during this series, I suggest you stop watching the anime. Because there won't be much of it. The anime is based off of the manga (not the novels), and in the latest chapters, it's solely focused on the founder's festival that they are currently preparing for in the anime. No faceoffs, no dramas, no conclusions. Just world building and politics mostly. The 2nd half will introduce the Emperor of Eren's country so expect more diplomatic meetings. It's even less likely to see the conclusion of the beef of Rimuru with the Rozzo family this season.

@@wkadalie I actually agree with you on that. There are many important things that would be introduced that are vital to the story. I'm saying this for those who talks trash about this season. It was already set that the pacing of Tensura is slow, as it highlights world building. I mean, it took 2 whole seasons to kill off Clayman, a weakling.

It's a shame that the scene when Lord Valentine and Hinata first entered the onsen was not shown (only a glimpse at the ending of Eps 10), Lord Valentine was very enthusiastic the first time he bathed with Hinata, and Hinata looked embarrassed, even though it was quite funny and fan service is actually quite important for the audience. But this time for tensura 🎉🎉
