What happens if you spare Verathiel?

She will help you when fighting Diablo later. However, if she gets killed during the fight, Diablo will take control of her and you will have to fight her again.

@namdol_ Ah, so technically, we can actually save her, then? So long as she doesn't get killed during the fight? Thanks for the answer, and the gameplay too! Your videos are how I keep up with the new lore.

@ hmm I can't quite confirm that as I've only tested just getting to the boss fight with Verathiel when sparing her. Since I could only beat the boss using my main character who I chose to kill Verathiel with, and so far there is no way to replay the quest, I'm not sure what happens when you defeat Diablo with her alive in the end.
