Overall d4 has kept its class fantasy. With the new systems in d4 it should allow for more variety than before. POE has no class fantasy at all lol

seems to me like the wolved honor mechanic is the seasonal mechanic, everything else (gear improvements, codex improvements, helltide improvements, etc) are evergreen; meaning they also apply to non-seasonal characters

I feel like they are learning from the last epoch my biggest issue with balancing is it often drive people in a direction of what is the best build to play instead of letting people make their own builds that should work even in endgame. I want to play the way I want to play not like the current ARPG trend.

As developer , what you are saying is impossible. There will always be one tactic that is better than the rest. Why? Because too many variables. The only way for a game to be balanced is if everyone is playing the same character. But you don't want that do you? There will always be a "meta" , in every game not just diablo.

So, it's just the other seasons but you start new with everything, no new world bosses then? I expected more, though I do like the more-focused aspects on legendary gear. Now to switch it to a wand: Incinerate has 3 beams each hitting for 150% damage. The Mage sweep move is quite a bit more fun now, but still...it's the same 'season' essentially. Oh well, I have other games to finish anyway.

This sounds good. I started only this season but after I hit 100, it got boring rather quickly. The last thing I want to do is farm mats needed to farm boring bosses [Duriel]. I hope they can implement fun end game ways to improve without having to spam the same boss over and over again. Especially when playing on a steam deck, it's utterly inconvenient. It could use some sort of a group finder or something. Apart from that, I really liked the story and the mechanics, combat feels very smooth and addictive.

Yes they made it to where the boss mats can be found through your character progress and dont have to be be farmed directly from one source. That one source is still the best way but you will recieve some from doing your normal stuff. Also you still have the new tormented (lv.200) versions of the bosses and also Andariel has been added as another boss next to duriel. At the current moment legendaries are more powerful than uniques. Uniques are still needed for the some builds but overall they are not as strong as legendaries upgraded. Uber are a little more accessible now

I downloaded this game when it came to game pass after hearing nothing but bad things. Since then, I have played just about every day and had an absolute blast. My first character is level 80 now and it has been a great challenge going against the living steel boss and clearing nightmare dungeons. If you are at all considering this game it is well worth it.

on my barbarian, if i imprint my 2 rings with the same skill like: "damaging an enemy with a basic skill grants you 4% attack speed for 10 seconds", will it stack up and grant me 8% attack speed for 10 seconds? if i imprint my two 2H weapons with the same skill "Charge calls forth 4 ancients who also charge", will the damage also stack up?

If I remember correctly, they said old items will be marked as "Legacy", they won't change at all, you can still use them, but you won't be able to engage in the new crafting systems with them, so the new ones will end up being more powerful.

Does this do anything for non-season characters below level 100? Struggling hard with the way gear does not mesh well if it is not BiS and having to pigeon-hole talents to make the "synergy" work. Tired of content that I see people ripping through in 5 min or less taking 15-20 minutes to clear and hate having to play my character in a specific way just to survive the content. Never wanted to play a bleed Barbarian but thanks to gearing and RnG that is what I have...
