@@thomastornstrom5804 It doesn't matter; they're clearly indicated and highlighted when you drop them, plus you will have Obol Vendor helping you find them now which previously couldn't give you endgame stuff but now can drop 925 legendaries once you're level 100. So even though loot will be rare, you will know when it drops. It won't be like before where you spent hours in Town looking at rare items unsure of what could even be good.

I think the changes to crafting and itemization are fantastic! Are there plans for adding more skills to each class from the base 6 skills, eg: Auras, curses, shouts, synergy between skills and auras, defensive layers, etc.? There will always be a "meta" for each class but this way it could promote more diversity and creativity with classes and builds. Great video, thanks for sharing

When will we get improved Clan Controls/Info. example: Communication options for new requests to join (The banned from the clan page looks like it was given more attention then the rest of the clan recruiting), Dates on list of players showing last played/logged in, More ranks with renaming capability, Message of the day showing up on the main screen for a minute or 2 on login or in the message area, Clan bank for donations etc., More/Better recruiting options because it seems like most people don't read the message that we can type before just applying to join.

For a loot filter, does the Diablo team see adding a way to simply select affixes that you are specifically looking for on each piece of equipment so that it is highlighted when looking through the stats of items in your inventory? Or even a number indicating how many affixes you are looking for are on each piece. Also if a max rolled stat could be a different color. Thanks.

one specific thing I especially like about all the changes is that you can extract a power to your codex now for reuse as many times as you want and it keeps the highest roll you find. Now I'd actually want to farm gear trying to max out power my build uses and the build slowing getting better, vs. before where 99.999% of the time every gear drop was an "IDK if this is any better and too much effort to tell..." and I just give up bored.

In season 1 and 2 I didn't equip legendary items, rather I filled my stash with yellow rares and upgraded to legendary with my preference of legendary power aspects. The new change allows me to get excited when legendary items drop because rares have one less stat. Thanks for this change to guide my gearing process.

From what I remember, the solo Pit benefits were a direct response to player complaints that virtually all endgame content up until this point was more beneficial in a group than playing solo. The Pit is an endgame activity that doesn't penalize you for not being in a group.

so its still RNG for the tempering system, so if i get unlucky and it keeps picking 1 of the other 4 things i dont want, i'm just SoL? or is it going to go by how we built our character so a corpse exploder will always have that prioritized as a build centric tempering?

Yes that's my understanding, though you do have 8 tries (I think) to hit the 2 affixes you want which doesn't sound too bad. At the very least you should get 1 hit most of the time. As good bases won't be so hard to find (only need 3 hits from a much smaller affix pool) it shouldn't be too hard to try again with a new base. Compare this to what was happening before, it's like you find an item with 2 awesome affixes and 2 useless ones. And that was nearly all the time. I think this is much better and more exciting.

I love all these changes but if I could nitpick 1 thing it'd have to be the pit, I wish they made brand new areas for it rather than just randomizing previous dungeon layouts, same with the gauntlet. It could have been an arena style or wave style activity which scaled infinitely. If only there was brand new zones for these activities I'd feel more inclined but after thousands of nightmare dungeons I know every single dungeon layout like the back of my hand.

I always felt for the most part the campaign was ok, just the last part for me was when the campaign dragged on too long (maybe some of them were that the game was just out and there were too many performance issued, now it seems ok, barely have any problems now). Also never really understood why the campaign got so much praise. It wasn't that good.

As a casual gamer, and much of the time a solo player, it is rare for me to run a level 45 Nightmare dungeon, does this mean the new end game content will not be something I can run?

A level 45 nightmare dungeon has level 99 enemies in it, so for even the most casual player, you just have to be around level 99/100, which really doesn't take that long and you have 3 months each season. If you can't reach level 100 then yes, the pit is not for you and you shouldn't worry about it. Endgame content isn't for people who don't reach endgame.

Very excited for all the changes, but I still would like the ability to have load-outs, like the wardrobe in D3. Since there is a lot of end game content, each usually is better completed with a variant of a build specific to that.. Late End Game build, Bossing Build, NM 100 build, Gauntlet build, and soon, Pit Build. It is so time consuming to re-spec and swap gear that this would be such a quality of life improvement for end game progression. Then people can really experience a build and its sub builds and will make the depth of a build and variants so much more convenient. I really havent pushed the Gauntlet cause I would need to adjust my normal build and adjust back after..so I dont. I do the gauntlet once and get what I get.

Tempering recipes are very easy to acquire automatically as you play, don't worry about it too much. And yes, if you craft a weapon in Seasonal Realm in Season 4, you will keep it in Eternal Realm once Season 4 concludes of course.

Seasonal realms reset every season. Eternal never resets. If you play seasonal for the upcoming patch, all of that progress will get moved over to your eternal realm at season's end and for season 5, it will be a clean slate. If you play eternal instead of seasonal for the upcoming patch, none of that will ever reset.

So does this mean that if I find a god tier item with all greater affixes in WT4 and then I attempt to temper a high roll of my preferred tempered affixes onto it and get bad RNG and run out of tempered durability then that item is now just incapable of being a good item for me and I have to throw it out until I get a new base copy.

if the temper is the required piece, yea, if the rest of the item and other temper are the best you have then you'd have to try and get another version of the item.

If the item was a god tier item before Tempering, chances are it will still be good even if you don't quite get exactly the Tempering you like. But yes, that's the idea. Tempering can soft-brick your item, so you still have a reason to find more items. It preserves the excitement of finding more loot, whereas otherwise you'd find a single BiS item on each slot and be completely done forever. Remember that you don't NEED perfect Greater Affixes on everything, it's just an item chase for endgame folks. It's not something you must have.

@@TheDravic I think the issue is that many people are used to and expect that the loot RNG is what happens when the item drops, and not when you're upgrading it. The tempering mechanic makes it so that finding good loot is no longer like playing the slot machine and hitting the jackpot, instead finding good loot will be to find the right coins you need to play the actual slot machine, which will be tempering. And in my opinion, that's not as enjoyable as having upgrades being deterministic or having infinite re-tries. I honestly think that once people get used to this system, finding god drops is gonna be accompanied with a sense of dread because of the temper rolls.

Crafting in Systems ARPGs has historically had tons of random factors across a variety of popular Systems ARPGs, it's not at all confusing or novel that there's a crafting method that can fail or that has random outcome. I think you're underestimating how important Tempering affixes is. You will have a relationship with both the naturally rolled affixes and the Tempered affixes, depending on your build you will either prioritize one or the other at different stages of the game. This gives the game depth, this is GOOD.

Yellows being impactful was a huge problem in D4, in season 3 I would spend 2-3 minutes clearing a level 100 Vault, and then 5-10 minutes collecting and sorting through all the gear afterwards, figuring out which yellows could turn into GG items. No thanks, much prefer this latest system where late endgame I'll basically only be looking for greater affix legendary drops. Massively helps narrow down the loot hunt.

The droprate of the blues and yellows and so on should be decreased (it should be not so commen to get on of these, and when u get on the chance that it can be good for the bild is random) and the loottable should look like this imo. - trashmobs should drop blues 1.5% and yellows 0.7% and everything else is a super lucky drop. Rare mobs or elites and bosses have a increased item drop chance (idk 10-25% and the loottable from these mobs can have a bigger selection of high quality items (unique or set.. Something like that)

There is no need now really. The new codex of power stores all your aspects for you where you can use them anytime you want. Each time you salvage a better version of an aspect, it replaces the old version.

Nah, I agree with them. Instead of needing a loot filter, I’d rather the game just not need one. Instead of having to download some txt file that filters 99/100 items, I’d rather just get a small amount of items that I know I have a reason to pick up
