And of course your own playing can hit someone” Rainer: ”To me summer brings memories from the family trips to southern Finland when I was a little boy. There we listened to schlager. Propably due to that I like some schlager music, and it doesn’t go together with metal. But it has been made to work together, but at first glance they don’t go together. But they both are played in minor key” M: ”I’d say I listen to metal during summers and also winters. It works” R: ”And these summer festivals are different for the band as opposed to club shows. There’s so much people at the front and it’s hard to get to the people in the back, as opposed to clubs where you can get them, and it’s so crammed so you don’t see the back row. He had the basis of the song, but the chorus melody took it even further” M: ”Yeah the guitar riff was so heavy, little bit like Sepultura’s Inner Self. Originally it was in a much slower tempo, but we paced it up a bit because eventually it didn’t work that slow R: ”Yeah and the lyrics came from Mika Myllylä’s Tervaneva testament” (Myllylä was a cross-country skier. He wrote the testament after the Lahti doping incident in 2001)
