I get why I hate these so much now. The creators of Diablo and path of exile are so much different. The creators of path of exile talk to you like you actually like games, understand games, and showcase what makes their games interesting. They speak to you as though they know what you want in a game and you should be interested. Diablo 4’s team talk to you as if you more of a kid in very non-descriptive words. This is very noticeable because it’s the difference between speaking into people engaged with the genre - vs. what they think is the genre. Why is that important? Because every Diablo showcase feels like I’m being talked to as if I’m a kid. Yet, Diablo is supposed to be a much more mature audience. It’s dealing with the devil. So the logical conclusion isn’t that kids are playing - it’s that the developers think we’re immature and stupid. Do what you want with this information.

Totally agree with this. I recall playing Diablo 1 during my childhood and I would be scared shitless every time i opened the Butchers corridor doors. The PVP aspect of Diablo 1 & 2 brought a new genre of "END GAME." Unfortunately, the Diablo series has evolved into an entire NEW game completely.

honestly the armoury is not a bad take. You can save your OP build as a back-up if you want to scale into something new or make something from scratch.. if you build dogshit you can always go back to your saved build.. you can make variations of your build and switch between them. its a good idea. it just comes 7 seasons to late

leaderboard is supposedly coming this season but not on launch. game has endgame but most of it is locked behind the expansion now, and has no purpose. as in POE2 it allows us to improve our build and hunt for really unique uniques, in D4 you farm somewhat fun uniques via boring bosses, and normal gear via helltides, hordes, and under city. game can fix the issue but it is mostly communities feedback and "casual gamers" that took the purpose of endgame by wanting mythicals shower, uniques on demands and every hour gear improvements. all it takes is reduction of dropped good gear, increase in the variety of affixes, reworking tempering system, reducing drastically drops for unique items and mythical uniques for increase in the power, especially mythicals that as of rn, doesn't feel as mythical as they should. a full rework of the boss materials drop rate and ladder bosses mechanics, making that even getting to the boss himself is a challenge, and rewards valuable. many of the problems were created by the community itself as I said, POE2 has lower droprates but compensates that with gear truly meaning something and being an actual source of power for each build

Its not about what you think it is, its about an objective reality: Endgame start at lvl 60, everything you do at lvl 60 is endgame by definition, its not about it being lvl 60 or 20. You can play the campaign, as poe1, and finish it to lvl 60, thats when endgame starts. The difference is that you have the ability to skip campaign in d4 so you need to replay all the campaign in every season. Also, for your information, my little jimmy, im an arpg fan, when i get bored of d4 i return to poe and i don't have any problem with what game is better, i just enjoy playing games. This is the limitation of the paid expansion model - out of necessity, they kind of have to save all the things that actually improve the game in meanginful ways for the paid release. This leaves seasons feeling kind of lackluster.

Hundreds of hours later, I'm quite frankly just bored with leveling characters through the same Nightmare Dungeons and Helltides. That's cool if others aren't, but I look at this season like another Helltide with a couple new abilities to tack on to my build and it's not enough for me to be excited for it. Maybe if we end up getting some actually new pinnacle content and rewards for doing it I'd be more inclined. Have to see more maybe.

D4 seasonal mechanics are fine. The devs just need to keep it every new season and have it accessible in either a specific part of the map or through special items like those for Nightmare dungeons and Infernal Hordes. They are going the correct direction with Infernal Hordes with the farmable specific uniques, they just need to add more "fun" uniques because the currents ones in IH is not inspiring. How I wish to have a "the barber" and vampire powers in my character. Ignore the power creep, they can just add resilience(the world boss buff i forgot the name) to bosses or content they don't want to be one shotted.

Genuinely curious, why did the blue border/tint around the Realmwalker get removed before the season 6 launch? it looked like the Helltides red border and the new Headhunt area is greenish/blue so I don't understand why I have to stare at my map looking for the Realmwalker Symbol when the area was clearly marked as a seasonal event zone before, this bugs me immensely.

I only have the basic version of Diablo IV on PS4 (though I don’t think that matters) from before the expansion was released. Do you need to purchase the latest expansion, Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred, to play the Season of Witchcraft?

Nope. You can play season with the 5 original classes and with access to 90% of the aspects and uniques there are. You are basically renouncing to have mercenaries, runes, and a little bigger overworld. Those mechanics are, of course, defining how deep you can go into the Pît. And how fast can you clear it. Also, the new class (which I don't like and refuse to have the sligthest simpathy for) is the one who is like 5000000% more powerful than the S-tier build analogues of the rest of classes. Go ahead, I played the greatest deal of season 6 without purchasing the expansion and was OK with it, completing the season journey took me no time at all, and playing necro and rogue was compelling enough. Couldn't escape when they lowered the price to 30 (from 40) and ended biting into the 10$-worth experience, but hey, what can I do.

This is exactly why I've quit the whole "Diablo" series and hopped over to POE2. Where is the dark, chaotic theme, demons and angels, dungeon action that worked so well in Diablo 1 & 2? Season of witchcraft game play reminds me WOW, but without the PVP. Somebody would have to pay me to play this game.

Guys... guys... seriously you have to stop with the borrowed power thing, it's fun for a little while but it does not expand the depth of the game over a long term, it's a cheap temporary value-add, it's not a long-term value-add. Oh look vampire powers, oh look witch powers... look at the most well-received season you had, Season 4, it had no borrowed power, just good mechanical changes and core content updates. You guys seriously need to look at PoE1 and how it developed the game over time, look at the Atlas. "It's too complicated" no, it's deep, the depth built over 13+ years of development keeps players coming back.
