Diadora has been in Malaysian market for a long period, with decent court shoes, football and affordable sport apparels with good quality. Nice to see Diadora introduces running shoes too

Just purchased a pair while away. I'm in a training cycle and needed to get a run in. Very Happy! Been having some knee and foot soreness. Completed my run without any symptoms. Progressive run paces without any difficulty. Felt great! Fit2Run only had black in my size, but I don't mind.

Great 👌 review Kofuzi 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
@proudbacteria137313 күн бұрын
Diadora Nucleo seems like a modern running shoe which is also a good casual lifestyle shoe. In recent years it became very difficult to pick a modern running shoe as a walking shoe because modern foams have become too unstable and aggressive rocker geometry in forefoot area doesn’t suit walking. That is why companies like New Balance have started to produce retro running shoes as casual lifestyle shoes because older running shoes were better for walking.
@kofuzi13 күн бұрын
Im not sure modern is the way I would put it, but I think there is certainly a market for it
@MadLadsAnonymous12 күн бұрын
Aggressive forefoot rocker is exactly why I don't understand Hokas, especially Clifton and Bondi, as walking shoes. I hate that late stage rocker feel for non running.
@proudbacteria137312 күн бұрын
@@MadLadsAnonymous I have never tried Hoka shoes but I noticed that people like buying Hoka shoes for work ( in hospitals for example) and walking. One reviewer recommended Hoka Gaviota 5 for walking. Kofuzi in his review of Saucony Endorphin Speed 4 said that he also likes this shoe for walking which surprised me. I stopped understanding who to believe. I bought online Brooks Ghost Max from recommendation as a comfortable walking shoe but it does have a pronounced rocker which I find weird while walking. Unless you try a shoe personally in a store you won’t understand how it feels.

Diadora sponsors the Philly 10k and thus I’ve gotten a couple chances to try their shoes. Of what I have tried, the Frequenza stood out as a bouncy, higher stack almost super trainer that I would highly recommend for faster medium to longer distance training runs. Ultimately for me it was a bit too much shoe for the snappy quick turnover I would want in a 5k but nonetheless a great option for locking in and cruising - not dissimilar to how I feel about the superblast. Definitely think it is the stand out of their non-racing options and worth a shot if you get the opportunity!

@caseous6912 күн бұрын
The foreverrun is very heavily discounted outside of the US and is still an awesome shoe. I got a pair during the recent sales for the equivalent of $75USD inc tax in Australia. Also, they have very quietly updated the shoe with a new knit upper version with an integrated tongue that makes the shoe even more comfortable and look so much aesthetically cooler - insane that they’re not promoting that shoe!

To buy one, you first have to find one. I don't even see Diadoras stocked in the places I shop. I own only one pair of Diadoras, and that was a cycling shoe that doubled as streets. I stopped wearing them since I stopped using SPD cleats.

Thanks so much - I picked up the Gara Carbon on sale and it's a wonderful racing shoe though it has the Diadora premium price unfortunately. As for the Nucleo, wondering about how it compares to the Saucony Tempus 2
@kofuzi12 күн бұрын
I haven't tested the Tempus, as that has much more stability to it
@HK-xs5ms12 күн бұрын
@@kofuzi I may try these out - I've actually used the Tempus previously for the kinds of runs you mention - when I know I'm not quite on form and can use a little bit of stability. It runs pretty naturally and I think kickstarted the whole guided stability era (instead of the posts and superfirm foams from past years). It's one of those shoes I've never loved but wound up using quite a bit especially later in the training cycle.

@therapygrind12 күн бұрын
I know that shoe's technology is 3 years old, but the design to me looks circa 2010 at best, toe box, lacing system, tread, all of it. Diadora's had 2 updates since they came out with Anima foam 5 years ago. ANIMA N2 in '22 and the 'recent update' is ANIMA PBX. That shoe is ANIMA N2 and you are correct in that it's EVA-based. How with a straight face can you claim a shoe with a built in guide rail system on both sides (a la Brooks GTS) is a neutral running shoe? Also, they know the stack height, for reasons of their own they just don't want to disclose it - let's not act like this omission is a simple oversight....
@kofuzi12 күн бұрын
some brands don't want to talk about it. I always point it out when they don't provide numebrs. but I don't make a big stink of it. Stack heights and drop are overrated specs, especially there is such variety of foam and so many things geometry-wise that can be done to tweak the experience.
@That_Ramdom10 күн бұрын
Is the heel actually that stiff compared to the front of the shoe? Does it cause any pain?
@kofuzi10 күн бұрын
It did not cause me any pain. but whether a runner thinks it's as stiff as I do would depend on what your foot strike and ground contact time is like. everyone thinks that stiffness or softness is a static metric, but it's not really something you can measure like temperature or weight. softness is dynamic and is a function of time.

I don’t like stability shoes though. This is about as much stability as I’ll review. I ran in the Kayano 30 last year. And I’ve reviewed the GT2000 years ago, but stability shoes are painful and not fun for me to run in. I don’t want to put in the testing miles.
