Diagnostics - A simple load test

In this video we are going to perform a simple load test using a 55 watt lamp, a jumper pack / battery, and simple tools.
The idea behind this is to put a load in a single wire that you suspect to be faulty in order to burn it off, thus confirming your suspicions.
The amperage a multimeter sends out during diode/continuity tests is far from enough to burn off any strands in a wire, so you will get a good reading even if there's just a single strand holding the wire together.

That is not a SIMPLE load test although thank you for using a real light bulb that carries more than a simple amp of power. This is a load test and a WIGGLE test and with only a short run of wire between your plug and the ECM where you have already disconnected the wire from the connector, I really wish you would have pulled the wire from the harness to show the damaged wire, an incomplete video with an improper title makes for less views of your other videos, sorry. You have a multimeter in front of you and did not elect to show the voltage drop (VD) on the bad wire. These missing steps tend to show a rigged test for training purposes when there is no real problem with the wire???? Cheers.
