I disagree. There are to many fingers moving under the deck. To much shifting. He's fast but I think as you push the card in if you move your fingers up. More specifically the pinky finger. Move the ring finger out of the way and pinky up to the ring finger position. To make it easier to be ready to take the card rather than moving all your fingers after the fact. Don't pull the card into the palm. Instead push the deck forward. This way your hand under the deck can palm without all the fingers moving so much. The less movement you have the better.

Vince, your tutorials are better than 99% of every other magician's tutorials - either on KZbin or on DVD. Great explanations, solid production values, good speaking voice,, and unlike so many other amateur magicians ("Disturb Reality"'sJarek 120), no crazy, over-inflated ego on display. You cut to the chase. You should contact someone like Penguinmagic & do a re-make of the late Daryl's Encyclopedia of Card Magic, using the same production angles & descriptions you do for this. I'd also incorporate someone like Assad's extensive use of Over-the-Shoulder shots, so we can see everything from the Magician's POV. However even your straight-on POV tutorials are better than almost all the others (poor composition, poor lighting, shaky cam, poor rambling explanations etc) I've seen on KZbin. Thumbs up from me. Keep 'em coming! - D.J.

This is a must practice move for many tricks like signed card, card out of box, even an elaborate ambitious. I do much the same way in the tutorial but I get into gambler's cop instead of classic palm. I can palm the card right back to the bottom of the deck and bottom deal it or whatever. The possibilities are endless once the card is palmed. Trust me. Your average person will be easily duped.

Great tutorial! Especially the short stops for showing the grip! Personally, I don’t like having a card palmed in my left hand so I prefer side stealing it with my right hand instead of pulling it all the way down to get it palmed in the left. That needs much less movement. Your move I only use to control to the bottom aka diagonal shift or squeeze shift (see Madison’s Mechanics for that variation).

If anyone wants a more user friendly method than this either for good or just while you work on this move, look up something that's known both as the Kelly bottom placement and the ovette master move. The easiest control to bottom of the deck or more or less directly to a bottom palm I've come across. Join me today, and together, we can quit our double undercuts for good! 😂

@khashayarmirsadeghi7 жыл бұрын
watched 3 magic videos today, in all of them the chosen card was my force card... 🤔
@kirkgrodske34367 жыл бұрын
Not the best method. the card corner should never be seen breaking the side of the deck and the bottom hand should not provide any motorization of the card. No "milking " of the card. The top hand moves the deck forward and that causes the card to move backward. Read Erdnase and Vernon.

do u have any tips i cant bend my pinky without moving my ring finger its like their tied together
@Joe_Stewart3 жыл бұрын
Its just to many fingers fidgeting under the deck. I think it should look seamless and smooth. This is fast but fast isn't always good. I think Alex Pandrea's version is much more smooth and fluid motion. So much that you can't tell as a magician that he did a DPS.
@marcochan66923 жыл бұрын
5:18 my pinky just cant move like that
@lucasschiefelbein60927 жыл бұрын
great trik, but a think a stradle pass could be better than palming the card
@200viper7 жыл бұрын
That's such a silly thing to say. A straddle pass brings the card to the bottom, palming the cards brings it to your hand. Obviously they have different uses, and are not interchangeable.
@lucasschiefelbein60927 жыл бұрын
200viper that's not what I'm saying. Obviously DPS has a different use, but if you want to control the card to the bottom, the straddle pass could be a better option than palming the card and then controlling to the bottom, mostly because there's less hand movement

It's not bad, but this technique is different from the DPS from Expert at the Card Table. I like it a lot, but the majority of the time when this is done badly is when people don't know how to make there hand look natural afterwards. Stealing the card is easy, holding out and adding it back on convincingly will take practice.
