This LADY, simply did not get the RESPECT, that she rightfully deserved from Hollywood and ALL of them should APOLOGIZE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really don't agree with you. While it was assuredly a time when black actors and women, as they used to say, of a certain age struggled to find great roles she managed to create a truly impressive body of work. I always felt that the industry as well as the public held her in quite deserviidly very high esteem. I know that I did.

🎉 Rest in peace and birthday wishes to Dianne Carroll 7 17 We are grateful to have grown up while her career took off. One will bond, in a sense with who they respect. We wanted to grow up to have her elegance, grace, and poise. Beauty combined with guts, is a potent combination. We who admired her, will face life in a similar fashion. Rest in Respect

I am a 65-year-old white woman making me 9 when Julia was first aired. I remember liking her show very much and while I am sure that I was aware that she was black it didn't seem to play into any part in how or why l liked the show so much but rather everything to do with the relationship she had with her son. This was much like the relationship that The Beaver had with his father Ward which was on afternoon reruns at the time.

Do you happen to have the Biography of her friend, Della Reese?! If so, can you upload her, please, so I can share it with my friends? I still have it, when I don't have a VCR. Thank you!
