Thank you for making this video! Its a pure example of DIY plus making best out of waste😃. My mobile holder was lying unused for so long, as its connecting portion was lost. I used the bottle cap & neck idea to fix it and now I can use it again!!! It looks cool as well. Thank you.

The superglue is very unreliably method! It glues hard but it's pretty fragile, it can break down because of vibrations.

This is very good. The only thing I would do is cut a hole in the black plastic, screw the bottle part in some how and then glue it. That way it can never detach, as its trapped between the bottle neck and lid. Also you have access to headset bolt.

general build is ok, with the exception of the arms, I would pre-bend them so that they would be pushed out when the phone is locked in, NOT away an friction held in place, one bump an they could de-clip an bye-bye phone. If they were pushing in (because resting state was narrower then phone) on the sides at all times then this would not happen.

Why there is not a clip in the front? It's gonna come off when you brake. Plus superglue is not the best for this. Use epoxy.

Ingenious idea you came up with, great craftsmanship right there. Too bad you damaged your screen on the making ;-( Maybe there is a way of making a template of your phone or just put something thin and soft to protect the screen.

I spent a few days developing ideas and experimenting. Even there was an option to use a paper clip, just it damaged the protective glass on the phone screen. The paperclip was a metal without a plastic shell. Now you only need to replace the protective glass. The screen itself is not damaged. The latest version of the holder (the one on the video) is safe for the phone. It is desirable that the phone was in a simple silicone case, and the screen protective glass. If you're still nervous, you said you could put something soft on it. For example, glue pieces of rubber. Thank you! I am glad to your comment! Godspeed! :)

Gj on nails. Also I feel one piece bolted to frame would be more secure.No need for screw cap... Impossible to melt both plastics togetger in the oven instead of superglue? I feel like superglue can easily break if the bike falls or goes over a big bump.

If there is any doubt in the usual superglue, you can use special plastic. It kinda melts the plastic and better glue. I recently fell off my bike)) Mount in place. The phone is a little out of the seats. I think only a direct impact force on the holder may be damaged. Some of the shortcomings I mentioned in the description. Not true I tried it with the on bike on a city bus also took the bike on gravel roads worked unitil the glue lost it's bond due to contact points

This could be improved by cutting a portion of neoprene (for example, from an old waterproof CD holder) and placing it such that it grips the back of the phone and also offsets the impact of the road.
