Like you my favorite molds are 1. Undertaker and 2. Grace but I use wizards as my putting putter and my throwing putter. Wizards are amazing.

Love that! Those long straight discs are just such money. I've never thrown a wizard so will for sure have to check those out. Im always curious about different putters and how much of a difference that actually does or doesn't make

Haha yea I feel you man, my bag is definitely excessive. I never touch half those discs in an actual round. I think I could be completely happy with my putting putters, zone, buzz, undertaker, Athena, captions raptor, vulture, grace and Rive. But I honestly keep the rest in because the bag holds them and I just like them... Fair enough I guess lol

Explorer is my go to. Opto-X runs are beefy and you can get one in Recycled plastic that will beat into understable. Gold X might be the best version, amazing glide yet great stability and feel.

I've heard pretty good things about the explorer! But have also heard they're more overstable than a tradition teebird. It's great that you can get different flights out of different plastics. I've been impressed by every latitude disc I've thrown for the most part

@@AndrewWoodDiscGolf If all things are equal I don't think the Explorer is more overstable than the Teebird, ex. Explorer in Gold plastic vs a Star Teebird. If you buy a tour series run of Explorer it will have more over stability for sure tho. From other reviews I saw it looks very similar to the Athena, Athena might be a touch more stable

Interesting, I'll definitely have to get my hands on one then. I think end of the day almost any of hose 7 5 0 2 discs could do an awesome job for you. So whatever feels best and gives you the most confidence in the hand seems like the right choice

That’s still a lot of molds. I struggle to keep the number of molds to no more than ten. Played in my first tournament last Sunday at Welk Resort (SoCal). I did ok with the number of discs I have and might reduce my number of molds to 8. I don’t throw far after some non disc golf injuries so no need for anything faster than a 9 speed. In most cases.

21 molds is a lot of molds. I think combining things anax and vulture to one mold, envy and Luna to one mold, nuke and rive, etc. would further improve your confidence in your bag. Seems like a lot of overlap and unnecessary slots

The only thing I will say is vulture n anax are same speed but not same flight anax goess further I bag both I dont forehand anax but they do go further and they break in different nuke n rive r same for sure

I definitely could take some discs out. Anax, Nuke, Luna never really get thrown. Glory and Raptor have some overlap for sure. I mostly just keep them all in the bag at the moment so that my bag is fool and the discs aren't falling out of it. But I for sure agree there is overlap

thats really interesting because my Anax is more overstable than my Vulture and my Vulture goes father!

Robbie C on his “in the bag” podcast talks about subconscious confidence in having fewer molds, but varying weights and plastics to achieve different flights. Trying to find say a more overstable run of vulture could be a good compromise for the anax, and then you’ve minimalists a mold. Keep experimenting with molds and plastics, I think getting that mold count down will lead to much more confidence

How is your atlas squatting like that? That's my issue with the atlas is that the sides are so stiff and hard it doesn't fit very many discs and are hard to get out. I looked to see if I could remove the side panels but they seemed attached to the bag itself.

Do you have the V3 bag? I have the V2 and if I understand correctly the sides are stiffer on the V3 version

@@AndrewWoodDiscGolf yes, I have the V3. I honestly don't like the bag at all. The sides are so stiff that it doesn't hold many discs and it's difficult to get discs in and out. I went as far as looking into how I'd remove the side supports but they are part of the bag. So I'm just going to get a different bag.
