the finale... I've seen this work over twenty times... and this walk to the guillotine... was the best... I was in tears... ! My favorite work of all time!

This production is a pleasure to watch as it tells the story in a direct , unsentimental manner but with simplicity and poignancy. Angers Nantes Opera made a fine job of this. Thank you for sharing it.

Salve Regina très douloureux RIP pour tous ces martyrs innocents de cette saleté révolutionnaire. En écoutant ce chef d'oeuvre lyrique, j'ai fait le rapprochement avec le Stabat Mater dolorosa du même Francis Poulenc . . . .
