Eye opener for Punjabis. I am amazed as a Punjabi that what have we done in past? History is very bitter and never forgive the mankind. As a Punjabi I am feeling sad. We earned Pakistan after hardships like nearly half of million Muslims died , now we handed over to looter, goons and capitalists. sigh of sadness. Allah saab per Reham karey.

Ishtiaq Ahmed comment on massacre of Rawalpindi opened my eyes that why 800,000 were killed.Add 14000 police force of muslims transfered from east punjab to West -to 17848 muslim police already in West punjab,you get 31,848 Police ready to assist mobs in throwing Hindus-Sikhs in Lahore-- 211,233 people thrown out of Lahore in one week.Also massacre of Shekhupura where over 10,000 were masscred by police and Baluch soldiers in 48 hours. shook Hindus-Muslims in West Punjab. Police at the Attarri border started challenging Indian military officers to search in Sept.1947. So mobs looted by knives,but Police using their uniform looted Hindus-Sikhs.

Police force of west punjab,boosted by transferees of 14000 helped accelerate killings in West Punjab.Also drop in East punjab police force drastically as muslim police left,made protection of muslims in East punjab difficult-adding to killings of muslims.

Tragedies like Punjab mass migration/ displacements/ ethnic cleansing are happening right now in many parts of the world. They may keep on happening in future also. I do not know if this man will ever be able to stop such thing or not. However, the modern world can work on a generic frame work of settling the displaced. 1947 Punjab ethnic cleansing had a unique aspect of reciprocal vacated lands, dwellings, businesses and jobs on both sides. I am interested in learning which country (Pakistan or India) was better able to manage the settlements of their migrants. Which country prevented the capturing of the "booty" by the people who actually initiated the loot? Are there any books on the seizure/ encroaching of deeded-property by the non-state actors or officials.

PARTITION, of subcontinent was based on muslim and non muslim majority areas, not on geological grounds. PUNJAB, and BENGAL divisions were also based on same formula. master tara singh, wow to cut muslim throats , who will divide Punjab. since the rule on whole Punjab in 19th century. hindu and sinkh started the killing and looting, what about rajastan and central india, why muslim were attack there, just because of Rawalpindi incident. not recorded in history.

MUSLIM ruled over Hindustan over 1000 years, while in minority , they manage to rule majority, not only with military supremacy but justice and rule of law. as lord macually describe in his address to british parliament, I didn't see any thief, beggar in entire india, people have good moral and manners" muslim rulers have many mistakes and blunders, but they were able to manage Hindustan better than any other indigenous ruler, no genocide, ethnic cleansing like, AUSTRALIA and AMERICA. BRITHISH RAJ, introduced one man on vote policy in india, so muslim of india realized that they are going to suffer with slavery of hindu. muslim league played a organizational role to unite the struggle for independence. in 1936 election muslim league did not have much seats in parliament. hindus came into power, banned, cow slaughter, azan. the core base of partition is , TWO NATION THEORY, which is as old as islam. alama iqbal vision, and quaid e azam political struggle for homeland. PAKISTAN is the only Islamic ideological state, don't confuse yourself. enemies want to confuse, confusion is killer. Pakistan has a role to play for muslim world and humanity at large. what you see today is going to change soon, Pakistan will emerge a first, ISLAMIC WELFARE STATE MODEL, of modern times and for rest to follow. inshallah.

Mughal rule is only 350 years, rest was other muslim rulers. every era has its challenges, making fortress and palaces are also good along with educational institutions and hospitals, Europe is full of castles and palaces.

These Castles and Palaces are symbols of Europe's Dark-age. Not a single castle is built after that period. Now these palaces are good tourist attractions, in that sense they are good now. These so-called Muslim rulers never implemented a single "Sharia Law" in sub-continent. In India Islam is spread by the Sufies and Aalims. After 4 Rashidun Caliphs of Islam, you would hardly find a just and honest Muslim ruler in the entire Muslim history up to date. I would be surprised if you could find one!....

People of Punjab divided themselves into castes and fell into religious bigotry. Hence unique land of 'five rivers' was divided into the most unnatural borders ever, in the history of world.
