I have been listening to all these pro-peace US military analysts for over 3 years now and what struck me is that no matter their moral compass, intellectual depth, and experience their analysis and worldview are derived from the same intellectual and historical framework shared by ... the neocons. They have a zero-sum game mentality which is built in by their US education and professional experiences, they always slap some American analogies to European politics such as: " Europe need to build their own military and stand up for themselves", "Europeans are cowards", on and on... The US never experienced a foreign invasion by a potent military force on its soil, they never suffer from occupation, they never experienced the economic and political consequences of post-war reality. Europeans did, Russia did, China did. European politicians know that their voters know and understand the actual consequences of war at home, US citizens don't. That's is why in spite of the Anglo-Saxon strain of civilization to relentlessly shape EU and Asia politics through formidable propaganda, economic weapons and covert operations, Europeans will never agree to the concept of a European army. They just don't believe in it but believe their "superior" culture and intelligence is enough to keep the global south in check. No matter the amount of US soft power that manages to influence European cultures, Europeans will never see the US as an example to follow, intellectually or politically. European medias broadcast this virtual reality over the world that a neocon European MIMC(Military Industrial Media Complex) just like the US MiC has a solid grip on European politics and institutions, but it is very far from the truth... As soon as the incoming Trump administration start fumbling the neocon ball, the whole neocon EU charade will collapse like a house of cards...
