Video came 6 weeks too late. Just done my alternator, pulleys, tensioner and crank pulley. That mod to the tensioning bar would have been bang on. Fair play to you. I ended up with 2 sockets sitting on the bolt heads with a pry bar slipped in between, then locking on the floor. I will admit though, I did it all with the suspension leg off while I was also replacing the lower Knuckle and wheel bearing. Still got my rear brake lines to do and rear subframe bushes, as they were advisories on my last MOT. Thinking of buying a spare rear subframe and re-furbing that to a decent standard before starting the job. While subframe is off, will definitely target all the areas that you've shown on this vid. Top man 😁👍

Thanks Dale. That tensioner bar mod was pinched off someone else tbh but others have pinched my ideas and this is partly what these videos are about sharing info and ideas so it's all good. I'm hoping to strip down the rear end of the 220, dropping the tank and replacing the fuel pump so I'll be covering those areas and more then. Thanks for the support 👍

Hi mate is the asbo upgrade worth it??
@mondeost220restorations98 ай бұрын
Yeah definitely, decent disc and pads are a factor. Genuine ford 320mm disc's and pads are pricey but 👍

Mate take the rear shocks out and treat the turrets as they will have surface rust on them

I can't find any rust on mine. Not bad for a free car. Got dropped at my gate cause the garage my mate took it to. Said it needed a new ecu and alternator and about $3,500 with other stuff needed. Spent five minutes to find it had no fuel pressure. Had to pull the tank cause the hole under the seat was stupidly small. To find the wiring had burnt up. Found a new loom for $15 But Rubbers under the bonnet fell to pieces. PVC radiator hoses etc. Brake lines.

Hi mate, recently bought an 07 mondeo st tdci, needs a new clutch and front subframe, do you have any recomendations for the subframe? Thanks

Have a look on the mk3 mondeo sales Facebook groups. Ant Hough, Sam Adams and Ben Page are some of the breakers/salers

What do you use for replacement fuel lines?

Those are the originals cleaned up. Replacements available from Ford but $$$$$
