Thanks for sharing your amazing collection of autographed graded Donruss Diamond King cards. The Perez artwork is outstanding. Dad

Thanks, Dad! Yeah, they’re gorgeous! I actually started collecting these accidentally! It wasn’t until I already had maybe 3 or 4 of them that I just decided to go for more of them specifically. And so a new collecting focus was born that day!

Great showcase Brian - Can’t wait to see the rest of your DK run!
@HighPopProfessor3 ай бұрын
Thanks, Al! Yeah, I’m undecided about how “complete” my run(s) should be before I showcase stuff. There are a few left that I would like to obtain / upgrade, but pickups for this specific PC are so few and far between that it would take a long time to “complete”, so I’ll probably just do the rest in 1-2 more video installments.

Always love the Diamond Kings! Impressive collection of these Brian!

Glad you enjoyed seeing the first installment! These are the two years I have the most cards for - most other years it’s just 1 or 2, with exception of ‘92 & ‘93 because those years are particularly fantastic! Thanks for watching, Joe! You coming to the National next week?

Awesome collection! I’m sure you’ve seen Mike’s videos highlighting DK autos. Ozzie Smith’s 1987 and Willie McGee’s 1986 DK autographed cards are on my list to get someday.

Oh, YES! Mike’s collection is an inspiration for sure! Amazing DK autos! There are a few white whales in this PC that I’ll be keeping an eye out for at the National as well! Good luck locating your Ozzie and McGee DK autos! I was actually very close to pulling the trigger on getting an Ozzie Smith signed Fleer Pro-Visions with him in his wizard hat and inscribed “The Wizard”. As much as I love the Pro-Visions artwork, the number of players represented in the DK runs is just unmatched! Thanks for watching, John-Erik!

The Diamond Kings are great for TTM. Easy to find the cards and most of the players sign. Plus they look great with autos. The only thing better are the Perez-steele
@HighPopProfessor3 ай бұрын
I love the IDEA of the Perez-Steeles, but the problem is that they’re oversized and won’t easily fit into my current storage solutions. I figure the gallery of heroes cards (I just got the Feller returned in my last Beckett authentication order) from the early-mid 80s are pretty close to card sized Perez Steeles that could also fill the gaps ultimately for guys like Mantle if and when I get around to them. I agree with you about considering the TTM route though! I’m getting ready to send a few cards including DKs to Larry Walker and Mike Mussina. Apparently they are both good TTMers, so hopefully those will go well and they won’t scribble TOO much over their own faces! 😂😂😂 Thanks for watching, Allen!

lol I got on card autographs on the good old Kmart cards . I figured heck the store ain’t around anymore and neither are some of the players I got autographs on them .

Nice!! I bet those K-mart cards looked good signed! I had a few K-mart cards back in the day, but I always liked the Toys ‘R’ Us cards and the McDonalds ones that had the “Topps gold”-like name plate. Thanks for watching, Sven!

@@HighPopProfessor they actually do but when I was a kid I always got cards from Kmart since there where no Walmarts around lol
