Now that you can do that? Can you do the Switch frog casting? It would jump the look of the switches you make.

Fantastic design as always Tim! I hope these do well for you all in hopes that they will be released in N scale at some point. Hats off to you sir.

Very nice concept and a genius design. I’m sure there will eventually be requests for crossings on curved sections too. Thank you for developing this product.

Now I will consider handlaid track. Produced and put forward, like a track master. Bravo!

you can expand this into traction rails too, single point turnouts and curved crossings which are not easy to come by at all.

Absolutely brilliant Tim!!! Congratulations!!! A great result for a huge amount of work. Please tell me you'll be doing N Scale parts soon? I hand lay diamonds in code 55 but I'll gladly use these new parts when I they're available. A good friend of mine is building an N scale Chicagoland layout. As you probably know, double- and quad-diamonds are a dime a dozen there so cant wait to see the N scale line. The layout includes Ash Street Jct which has 16 ~90 deg diamonds so this news couldn't have come at a more opportune time!! Cheers, Steven Kitchener

Wow! This is something I was considering, hand making but your system looks amazing and so much easier and quicker. Looking forward to buying some. Fantastic product! Kind regards Jonathan

Love the work you do. My plans are to use FastTracks when I get to the point of designing the layout properly. I have many plans, but as you may be aware it all takes time. Thanks again.

Have you looked into parts for DBL Slip switches? I’m currently building my second set of dbl 90 degree crossings. Your product is very well thought out and works great.

This is great. I am in the track planning stage of my new switching layout and a couple of crossings will be needed. Most likely a couple of 19 degree ones and possibly a 30 degree. My plan is to go with Fast Track turnouts as well.
@paulwest39054 жыл бұрын
Hello Tim, just found your site recently. Wow... seriously impressive. The new diamond series is spectacular! I am months out from purchasing, but in anticipation, I am wondering if you could answer a cost-benefit question. My instinct tells me that over the long-term, if one is willing to buy the setup for turnouts, x-overs and diamonds, your investment would end up paying for itself vs. continuing to buy "off the shelf" track solutions (provided you can even find/buy them). You have probably answered this in an earlier video, but I missed it if so. As an aside, a big part of what sold me on the Fast Tracks concept is I can draw up plans for a layout without having to worry much about the frustration of shoehorning an off-the-shelf track product into my particular "custom" layout space. Basically, the layout ends up much closer to the plan than otherwise possible (to my thinking anyway) vs. having to redesign the track configuration/space. Can you shed some light on expected cost benefits please? Thanks! -and keep up the videos when you can, you are easy to watch and I can't wait for your next "project"! Sincerely, Paul

Are there any restrictions on flange depths? I have some of my dad's old tycos remotored and updated with dcc, but the have flanges on the that are quite deep will I have to rewheel?
@FastTracksTools4 жыл бұрын
The flange depths are set to the NMRA standard, so will likely interfere with the older style wheel sets

Hi Tim. Any plans to do a 'slip' either single or double ? If that could be in 'N' gauge - you have a customer waiting (and, I'm sure many others will follow....)

Hey Tim, I know this is not directly related to tracks, but it is related to casting and such. I think you could do well in getting with Sergent Engineering and continuing to make those couplers, as they are becoming hard to get. He's slowing his production and hoping someone will take over. They are awesome couplers but currently only have a very select type range. I think you would do well in taking over and or making those types of couplers. even though they are not track related. Just a thought. These diamond crossings are very slick.

Tim just out of curiosity will there be a curved diamond? its where one track is straight and the other is curved through the diamond. i know of one Atlas plan that uses such diamond, a left and right version, in the track plan but its been discontinued.
@FastTracksTools4 жыл бұрын
Technically it is possible. Will see how the uptake is before planning expansions.
@ScottTaipaleRail2 жыл бұрын
I was about to ask about curved castings also.. I’m thinking steel mill modelers and other industries with complex track work really need them. I know the prototype I’m working to needs 4 curved diamonds!
