Very nice I have used those diamond mowers for a few different things and they work great. Up here in my part of the world we have to use the drum types usually since we have older hardwood trees to take down. Plus on my Kubotas used in forestry we have a cooling kit addon for the hydraulics and it has saved us a ton and makes the machine more productive. I am also in the Process of getting some bids on Tractor mount forestry mulchers for a 400 horse tractor to run on Rear 3 point and PTO lol

I have the same setup, Kubota and Diamond. But looking at the hydraulic lines in this video, it looks like they are connected to the standard flow fittings, not the high flow? Is that correct? My 2018 Kubota shows the 2 lower connection are not the high flow connections.

What High flow setting you running with this. I just bought these exact set up and just hardly can run it in high flow, takes too long to recover after cutting anything or back mulching, have to stop to let it spool up or the machine won't hardly move. I run it in std flow and it does rather well actually. You see issues like that?

I have purchased a similar 48" Rut Annihilator disc cutter and a Kubota SVL-95-2 High Flow to run it. I require 30 GPM to run my attachment. With the High Flow of 40 GPM, I will need to use the Left and Right flow adjustment system to reduce the flow, and it is scaled from 0-14. Does he have any info on what the 0-14 levels mean in GPM on the SVL95?

Was talking to a fella yesterday at the equip rental store in Crawfordville and he gave me contact info about this, it looks like the way to go for me. I have 5 acres of untouched land with maybe a thousand+ live oak saplings I need to clear. I will leave the larger oaks, the ones over about a foot across in place. I started doing it myself and I could get it done, but it will take me forever not to mention the aggravation, effort and risks. I understand from talking and seeing the videos that this would do all five acres it in a day and at a cost I can afford. Seems a no brainier to me - will call on Monday for more info. Sure I Could do it myself but it would take me months and time is money, not to mention the fact I would still need to remove or burn them all after I cut them down. but with this macnine they get mulched where they are - Job done.

I just placed an order to rent one of those similar (Cat 255 with a diamond mower, not the mulching head though) for later in the month. I took a week off from work and I am super pumped to use it. The diamond mower version I am getting will cut up to 10 " material. Should work great for my place. The cat dealership didn't rent the mulchers like this anymore, sadly lol. That guy was really good at explaining how this thing works and showing us. You had some great questions for him too. Great video Hank.

The best way to prevent fires from destroying your trees is to keep the area cleaned from under brush. This also promotes more healthy growth of new trees. Don't get sucked into thinking because you cut down trees you are a bad guy. Have you ever pruned a plant or small tree? Why did you do that? To promote healthy, new growth right? Same principles here, just on a larger scale. We're all in this together. Our methods may be different but the goal is the same ...as the saying goes, its not how you drive,it's how you arrive.
