I think the reason the label goes on the top rather than the front of the container is so you can actually see the what is inside. This makes sense for a beader which is what these were originally designed for.

Love these!! It’s all I use for storing my leftover tiles and then one for my current wip. I have tons of all the different size containers. (I don’t use any of the labels either.)

Lori Pare both Walmart and AliExpress have sets of the DMC labels. I use these for the trays with my leftovers. And then I use a separate tray for my current wip. For this tray, I use these little white blank labels that I ordered from amazon and just write each number on the labels. When I’m done with that project, I go through the leftover tiles and add them to my other trays of leftovers. Hope this makes sense.

Even if it is out of stock on Consumer Crafts you can buy tiny containers and tray seperately..thats what I did...it works! Love it

You dont want to use your nails to open those you will break them. Use the blunt end of the tweezers, works good. I find it great for working at the time, storage is baggies. It doesnt get in the way. Nice to see how what works for one person is different for another

How have the hinges of the small containers held up over time? I'm in the market for a storage system for lock and electronics components (pins, springs, resistors and such). Something that will carry easily in a messenger or tool bag and hold up to frequent opening and closing. I've already ruled out typical plano tackle boxes since small parts tend to migrate whenever the lid gets flexed. Are there any similar storage solutions with numerous, individually-closing compartments you'd recommend?

As far as the hinge durability, these are the best that I have come across. Especially for how many containers you get in one package.

@@DPbyDoni Good to hear. I kept browsing and found your video on storage solutions so I've got a few options to consider. The 28 slot boxes and the Harbor Freight containers look closer to the form factor I'm aiming for but this kit might be great for bulk storage and organization. All are a far cry cheaper than buying even an empty LAB pinning kit. Thanks a bunch for the reply and the videos, they've helped me to narrow my options down.

I got a question I went to the amazon page that you had put in the description which one did you buy? And did the storage containers come with it? It only says the storage tray for the first tab but the second tab that says tray + containers

The listing allows you to purchase the tray alone or with the containers. The one I show is a complete 82 piece set with the containers.

I remember a few years back when these trays first came out they were extremely difficult to get because they were sold out everywhere. Jewelry makers kept snagging them up. A lot of 3rd party sellers were selling this tray set on Amazon for $100 bucks. Then about a year later Amazon started selling them for Darice and offered them at $50. Now they're $25 and under, so I'm not sure how you can say they're expensive. This price is a seriously good deal compared to how much they used to be.

Probably because I didn't have the past price to compare them to. Compared to every other storage container I have bought, at the time, this was expensive and a lot of people have complained about them being so.

Price is expensive not on what the price used to be but what you are currently willing to pay for them period.

@@those_eyes The price fluctuates between 25 to 50 dollars. If you use the Honey browser app you can have it alert you when the price drops. I paid 25 for mine.

$500??? That is ridiculously stupid high! I don't mind paying $25 through walmart, but after I ordered mine, they went out of stock. There is that Consumer Crafts (I think that is the name of it) website that sells them for like $18 I think, but I have never seen them in stock there either. High demand means a hike in prices, so sad..

i would love to have one of those, but it will never happen, because i would pay even more in tax then what the Storage System cost :(, i have to make sure that nothing i buy outside EU is under 13 dollars otherwise i have to pay 30 dollars in tax or even more depend on how much the item i buy cost the more it cost the more in tax. oh yeah and i have to remember to think about the shipping also that have to be in those 13 dollars too if its not free shiping lol

That darn tax thing! I actually live in a state that has no sales tax at all. It is super nice but I feel bad for those like you that have to pay such high taxes :( If that were the case for me, I would probably stick with the bags with 3X5 index cards inside and do a filing system in a basket. No tax or shipping there!

that is what im going to do to start with, and then i will try and go out and see if i can find some little plastic container that are not to expensive. I really hate that tax grrrrrrrrrrrr. i have seen some shops here in Denmark that sell those little round jars with the screw cap on, but i just think they are so little and there cant be much in those.

Do you have WalMart there? Because some of these containers can be purchased there. Also, if you have Dollar stores, try them as well. I hope that helps!
