Diamond Painting WIP & Waffle | HAED Massive Project

Hi Rebecca. I get so happy when I get the notification that there's another WIP & Waffle/Chat. My hubby and I are still working on the painting I gave him for Christmas and it's funny to watch him. The painting we're working on has a lot of confetti and he'll just pour a small amount of drills in the tray to see if he can pour only what he needs at the moment. He'll comment on how they're not lining up like mine and I told him he needed to pour more in. He's stubborn so he just chose to shake them a little more 😄 I think it's fun watching him choose his own diamond painting path. I can't wait to hear more about the progress on your kitchen. We're considering a kitchen update but we're just at the quote stage. I'm thinking we'll wait to do it in the summer so the work doesn't interfere with the kid's school schedule. I'm in Houston TX so it doesn't get too cold here but I still don't necessarily enjoy the cold. I start boohooing when it gets in the 30's (F). Last February Texas experience the demise of our power grid because we had an usually cold winter. We lost power during that time so this year we were prepared with power banks to at least have light for crafting and the phones. Our 3 teen boys get bored without internet very quickly but I can be entertained with my crafts for days. Have a wonderful week.

Hi I’m with you on the coffee drinking. I was drinking 14 cups a day! I’m now down to 7 cups but hope to get it down to 3. It is funny to hear everyone comment on the cold weather as it is hot in Brisbane. We had 2 days that reached 36C but it felt like 41C with the humidity! I am looking forward to winter but then it doesn’t get as cold here. I also started a new diamond painting from Diamond art club that is an absolute pleasure to work on. I take my hat of to you doing a Heaven and Earth design. It looks really hard.

Yep with 5 of us (Sometimes 6 with stepson) we all drank coffee, occasionally the girls and hubby had a cup of tea. 😊 I am almost finished listening to book one of J D Robb.. it is a bit spicy 😁👍😁 but I am enjoying the listen 😊 👍💚

In relation to the colours looking different on the canvas to the drills. The colour on the canvas is the same as the background colour on the symbol which can make the picture look weird until you place the drills. I see it most often in double sided canvases. (a perfect example of this is Homfun with their black 310 always has a blue background and quite often uses the symbol I)

I really do enjoy watching these wip and waffles with this HAED. Maybe one day it will encourage me to try it, but that day hasn't arrived yet...lol. I hope all goes well with your kitchen remodel. That's the one room in the house that is the most inconvenient to update. Thank you so much for sharing!

I heard you say that someone in Ohio (U.SA.) got 6 inches of snow. I would gladly take that! I’m in the southern most part of Canada, and two weeks ago we got hit with 45cm (17 inches), in 24 hours!!! That was the most snow to fall in our area in one day since 1944! Just when we recovered from that, yesterday, we got another 20 cm. I’m SOOOO over winter!!!!

Hope you have stayed safe from our storms Rebecca, up in S Yorkshire we have had Dudley and Eunice . Still getting the end of Eunice as I type this but I'm thankful my windows were put in and finished on Tuesday before Dudley arrived. I still cant get used to sticky dots in my tips, I'm still using blue wax. I don't use multi placers either it takes too long to straighten them for me.

Good on you for sticking with your plans to work on the HAED. I know its our hobby but you really do have to have a plan and stick to it sometimes when working with these huge projects. It takes a certain amount of discipline. Right now I an getting ready for a solo trip to California for a Planner Convention called Go Wild. I have a huge to do list of things to do before I leave and diamond painting is calling my name constantly. I told myself once I finish this canvas I must not start anything new until I have everything prepared and packed for my trip. It’s gonna be hard but we must be disciplined!

I feel for you with dealing with the chaos of having a new kitchen. We had one done, complete gut, at the end of November, we had a setup with a plug in induction cooktop, which was really helpful, washing dishes in our laundry tub, it took 3 weeks, which by the end, was getting a bit tedious! Looks fab though and I love it 🌹!

I'm trying to get back into diamond painting. I haven't done any real dp apart from the cross stitch world ones on my ipad since last May when I broke both my left ankle badly that needed an op as it was a dislocated fracture and also my right foot. I really want to do the 2 Haed ones I have. I think I need to find a dedicated space again to set them up. So re-watching your videos have been a real help thankyou x

OMG!! I saw you place your first diamond on this painting and a few WIP after, then for some reason you were not coming through to me anymore. I just found you and it was so wonderful to see that you are 1/3 completed. It is beautiful and so happy that you stuck with it. It was the first thing I thought about once I found you. Great job!! =)

Oh boy the hassles of beautifying our Homs. I feel for ya! It will be gorgeous once it’s done. I too love the metal tips and am slowly switching all mine over also, do u glue the tip in the pen? LDT is coming along so nicely! I’m at 39.71% on mine. I am loving working on it but so wish my tablet wld show my colors on the side like urs does.
