I’ve got the Diamond Select Excelsior, Ent-A, Ent-B, Ent-D, NCC-1701 HD version and the NX-01. They all look amazing and I love them all.

Having a 3d model of a ship is important.You can move it and see it from different perspectives.I didn't really like the JJ Vengeance but after I got it it's growing on me.If only the gap in the saucer was filled.I am glad you were lucky and there were no major issues with the model.

This is a positive surprise! I personally always have huge issues with prepainted models, but this I would consider getting. The only complaints about this - for me- is the lack of aztecing and the misaligned neck ports that you thought were the torpedo launchers. But who can blame them, even the (overall hugely inaccurate) Enterprise B MSD (the huge one behind Capt. Harriman in Generations) called them that and even inserted a launcher graphic in there, even though you have ST VI's Excelsior clearly firing from the eye-shaped tubes on the body.

Great Video Captain. Sometimes it helps to get a large model with good details to get an overall better appreciation for the ship. I was lucky to get the NX-01 while Star Trek merchandise is hard to find in the Netherlands

I love this video. Thanks for showing us the moment you came to appreciate the Excelsior! Looks like a great model. My only quip is the one button for all the sounds. Preferred the old Playmates method with multiple buttons for the different sounds. I have the AMT model kit which was good for its time. Sadly the Eaglemoss version is really small.

Hi Guys!!! I'm with you Cap on how a physical model makes a difference in our opinions. I dare say a CGI model (even in virtual reality) doesn't compare to holding a physical model. On another note, beautiful ship, but that's a very thin part of the ship decking in the rear, underneath the shuttle bay. Would that limit functionality in the shuttle area?

I love my dst refit, but it could be a later release. I know that they have fixed some issues over the years on several ships in rereleases.

I have several Diamond Select ships the original NX-01 release and the release including excelsior, Enterprise B, D, E however I’ve bought 2 Enterprise D’s and they both have electrical faults that killed the lights and sound but apart from that the others are fantastic.

It’s physically more accurate than the AMT model when it comes to the shape of the secondary hull
