22:00 i don't think you realize the same way we've been tired of paladins, their player base has been on a decline because they feel the same way about OW, constantly annoyed by gameplay that's either redundant or bad iq... when they switched to 5 man comp and nerfed ppl like mei etc it was a slow downturn from OW-OW2 and the whole F2P was an annoying roll out along with people and their initial server problems... it was so bad that some of them were praising us due to us getting active releases for characters... they lost a lot of their fan base I still play too but not as often - it's those same frustrated chants we see in paladins

the numbers don't support that claim at all, some people are leaving but more people are joining which was has not bean true of Paladins for years at this point

@@cogginsnuff the numbers absolutely support that. Date back to 2021. If you look at all the stats and progression into overwatch 2 there was already a decline happening. The sharp change in gameplay and server issues lead to a huge downturn. The profits have been more due to skins etc; the biggest decline has been in concurrent players which is why you would rarely repeat full teams in OW when playing ranked or casuals; however the chances of that are higher now due to the concurrent stats. They have full stat articles because of the shift that initially happened. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying the game is dying but the concurrent player base gets smaller and smaller and it is due to what I mentioned above. People return for short bursts during holiday and special events for skins and new character releases and their activity is short lived. What stats are you seeing that I'm not, because all stat trackers I've seen and even articles from Blizzard admit it. Blizzard basically claims it as a normal thing and since they're making good profit, it doesn't shift their stance much.

@@TheOneWillFocus link your sources then. you're making some very definitive claims not just about the numbers but also the reasons for the numbers that I just don't believe you have the data to backup. you can speculate those things all you want but you don't have the raw data *and* the analysis to backup the claims that you know why people have left and what has caused all these things that aren't even happening to be frank. It's clear that you're upset the game has changed since OW1 but again for all its flaws it's clearly bean a net positive for the game and player base. The praise Paladins got from releasing new content was back in OW1, no one has had that complaint for OW2. Don't know who was annoyed by F2P but it brought in tonnes of new players which you clearly agree is a positive metric. Crazy to me that you think people were upset about mei nerfs, CC is something people regularly complain about to this day. The argument over the switch to 5 players is just boring at this point, tank role has always gotten the shit end of the stick, it hardly impacts anyone else (I say this as a tank player), the idea that change alone lost players is absurd, there were no tank players to be lost. The server problems were a day one problem, nothing more, that's not seriously doing any harm to the player base, again I say that as someone who mostly plays on OCE servers and is always the first to get the shit end of that stick. Your arguments are not in good faith and I don't think they hold up to the slightest bit of scrutiny. This is not comparable to the downfall of Paladins in the slightest. This is what a legitimate attempt at salvaging a game looks like, Paladins is simply trying to get the most out of its death as possible.

@@cogginsnuff I am pretty sure OW2 lost a lot of players if you compare it to peak OW , it has like 150k active players around compared to averages of a million in OW1 from what I had read quite some time ago
@cogginsnuff8 ай бұрын
@@fenixspider5776 I'm not playing with numbers we think we can recall, links or I'm over it to be honest. Also comparing those peaks is absolutely insane, OW1 peaks are from like what almost a decade ago now? Be serious please.
